Transfers under the following guideline. I've learned a long time ago you can't please everyone and I'm not going to try. For you who like to break the rules, don't waste your or mine time. If your request is outside my guidelines, I will ignore and delate your request.|
Generation 1: your family -- Husband - wife - your children - son-in laws - daughter-in-laws - grandchildren.
Generation 2: your and spouse parents -- Father - Mother - aunts - uncles - 1st cousins - wives and hubands of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Generation 3: Grandparents - their siblings and their children -- huband and wife of siblings and children.
Generation 4: Great Gradparents - their siblings and their children - huband and wife of siblings and children.
NO transfers beyond the great-grandparents and NO transfers of Revolution Soliders or Civil War Soliders or Sailors.
This is a MUST!!! You have to tell me your RELATIONSHIP to the person you want transfered and PROVE if I shoud ask FOR proof. No relatonship...no transfer.
Don't waste my time with: I went school with...I do research for another person would you consider transfering...they were neighbors to my grandparents...I work with this person...they were my neighbors when I was a kid...just this once would consider breaking the rules...ect. ect. ect. If you are not related, forget it. My transfers go to family members who fall within the guide lines.
For you who think there should be no rules and should transfer every request that comes down the pipe, take it up with Find A Grave. They're the ones who set the rules.
CORRECTIONS: For you impatient persons who believe your request should be answered in a 24 hours period of time. Get Real! I may have 30 or 40 other requests before yours comes in. I do answered all corrections but it might take several day or weeks. I don't spent 24-7 at the computer. I know this is hard for you to believe but I do have a life outside the computer. I do have family and friends I spent time with, I have a part time job, yard ward, house keeping, grocery shopping, library research, visiting cemeteries for tombstones to photograph, searching cemeteries for requested tombstones and other chores that has to be do.
MY PERSONAL GOAL: My reason for joining Find A Grave is to presrve graves and their tombstones. That's where the bulk of my time on the computer goes, adding people and their tombstones. Corrections and tranfers are done when I can find extra time in the day. So if it takes me one or two months to answering your requests, so be it. Don't give me any guff, that if I can't keep up with the requests, I should transfer the memorials to someone who can. Get Real!! It won't happen!

Hi Richard. Thanks so much for adding Lucy's obituary to her memorial. Van Buren is the county seat of Carter County, MO. The Current Local newspaper has been in publication since 1884 right there in Van Buren--some interesting reading, I can tell you!

A good holiday weekend to you.

A very neat picture indeed. My daddy had his taken in Chicago in 1955. I've found a few people on this site that have pony picture. Have a nice Memorial Day weekend.

You and my daddy have something in common when it comes to these horse pictures. Where was yours taken?
|Lisa Striebing||John Gist|
I am trying to verifying that John Gist, #35099494, had a son named Howard Gist. The info you posted says so. Do you have any backup for this? I am preparing my family tree and am just unwilling to grab names from related family trees (which is how I got to this site) without any backup. I would be deeply grateful for any backup info you might have.
