Bio and Links
Bio Photo I welcome information or a correction to a memorial. I do not double-check the auto edits, as I don't have time, plus, I think you would have.
I like to link families (and also women's maiden names) as that has sometimes been the only way I found a daughter, wife, or mother.
If you find an error, please notify me; AND, please use the white Edit tab at right top of the memorial, even if you have a question about a memorial, the suggestion email will take me to it. I will know exactly who and what you are writing about without entering names, and memorial numbers to look it up.

I will transfer a memorial if you are a relative, and I'm not related, but I'd expect you to transfer if someone else asks you and they are closer kin.
I honor veterans (all wars) with a flag, or floral tribute, especially if they don't have one.

THANKS:
With the "new edit" method, I don't always write a 'thank-you' nor do I expect one. We all have plenty to do to keep up. BUT, be assured that I do APPRECIATE any addition/correction, or PHOTO REQUEST you fulfill for me. Please accept this as my thanks for your efforts.

I am always happy to try to help adding information on individuals. Is there anyone in particular at South Plymouth Cemetery that you are looking for information on?

RE: Rev. L.W. PACE, Hood Co. TX
I looked in my Family Tree Maker and he is not in my husband's line. Nora Ellen Pace Dosher in Granbury Cemetery is in our line.
I searched and looked in FTM on other researches and one shows Levi's death After 1930 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Co, OK.
Not sure why he would be in OK at age 82 or older when family is in Hood County.
His son Luther Malcolm Pace is in this cemetery in Hood Co.
Birth: Nov. 3, 1873

The information I added was from the death certificate abstract. It shows him as dying in Kings County and having been born there. I'll remove the birth but I believe the death location to be legit.

Thanks!

RE: Smart - Ill. 26168286
I guess it's possible that Wiley Smart married Mary A. Allison in 1854 in Kentucky, but it was a short-lived marriage because he married Hannah Dorsey in 1859 in Illinois and then Arminta Upchurch in 1874 in Illinois. With Hannah, Wiley had 2 daughters by the 1860 census. By 1870, he had 5 more children with Hannah. Then he married Arminta and had 3 children with her by 1880. I only found one child born to Mary A. Allison:

Name: John A Smart

Birth Date: 4 Sep 1855

Birth Place: Crittenden, Kentucky, USA

Ethnicity: White

Gender: Male

Father: Wiley L Smart

Mother: Mary E Allison

____________

Smart - Ill. 26168286
I cited an old 1889 Cyclopedia of Free Baptists with short bios of preachers and have found no errors on ones I've looked for. It gives "Wiley L. Smart, son of John Smart, bn in Wilson Co. TX in 1832; He mar. Mary A. Allison in 1854 and has eight children."

He was in both KY and ILL, at times in church work, but at the last in ILL, it seems. Wonder if her name could be on the side of his or something and canvasser just missed it?

RE: Smart - Ill. 26168286
I'm actually wondering if this is the same Wiley Smart that was married to Mary Allison. The marriage record says that Mary Allison married Wiley S. Smart in Crittenden, Kentucky. But I haven't been able to find any more info for either of them.

Thanks for correction; confusion on my part as Mary A. and then Arminta. I have not found Mary A. Allison Smart; any idea where she is? d. bef 1874.

RE: Sarah Bradbury, KS reply
Sure thing, I will link everyone together. It is too bad Israel's parents don't have known burial locations. I plan on submitting his parent info to his biography though.

Sarah Bradbury, Find A Grave Memorial# 24006330. I wanted to contact you, since you left flowers with biographical info, prior to submitting edits.

I do not believe Sarah Bradbury is the daughter of Israel and Mary Bradbury. She wasn't with them in the 1860 census. Instead I think she is the wife of Israel and Mary's son, Abner J Bradbury, and thus their daughter in law.

1870 shows that Abner J is recently married as of March. (Sarah is not marked married). However Sarah does say in 1870 that she was born IN, and so does Abner's wife Sarah in 1880.

Abner and Sarah live in Freedom, Republic, Kansas 1880 (Bradberg according to ancestry) and Mendocino, Sonoma, California 1900. I cannot find the couple in 1910, but 1915 they are back in Burr Oak, Jewell, KS. This is where Sarah dies, and after her death Abner returns to CA to be with his daughter Eva(Bradbury) McCormick. Abner died in CA, Find A Grave Memorial# 36366938

Sarah's maiden name was either Hancock or Hitchcock, her childrens' records use both. If you have no objections, I will submit an edit for her memorial. I am happy to explain further if needed. (I will not submit a maiden name edit until I find more evidence proving it one way or another).

I looked at the census and the military records for this man and added more comments under his bio. I agree that his name is spelled wrong on his marker. But I will leave the incorrect spelling in place as that is Find A Grave's policy. I noted the probable correct name. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. :)

RE: Wm. Mack, Steuben NY photo
It was an adventure, very much enjoyed. I wen there looking for Samuel Mack Jr, Williams father. Samuel lived with William as of the 1865 census and I hoped we would find him, but we could not find a marked stone. There were two stones for two of Williams wives, both named Eliza. The first eliza died when she was 26, the second when she was 48. If you look at Eliza on Find a grave you will see photos of both markers. The cemetery is completely overgrown and there are at least twenty five informal headstones.
We also found Samuel the 3rd in Chenango Cemetery in East Woodhull. Photos of his and his wife, Polly's were added today.
My family line is Samuel Jr., Zadock, Betsy Mack. Some claim that Zadock and Farzina are buried in Allen Cemetery in Young Hickory but there are no visable stones.
You are welcome to comment back of course.
