Bio Photo I am now retired and able to devote more time to my
hobby, genealogy.Along with Three cousins, we are the family historians.Surnames include,Hess,Ferry,Sreca,

Lives are commemorated, deaths are recorded, families are reunited,
Memories are made tangible, and love is undisguised; This is a cemetery.
Communities accord respect, families bestow reverence,
Historians seek information and our heritage is thereby enriched.
Testimonies of devotion, pride and remembrance are cast in bronze
To pay warm tribute to accomplishments and life, not the death of a loved one,
The cemetery is homeland for memorials
that are a sustaining source of comfort to the living.
A cemetery is a history of people
A perpetual record of yesterday and a sanctuary of peace and quiet today.
A cemetery exists because every life is worth loving and remembering - always.

The Love of Cemeteries and Genealogy

"You see death and sadness in these sunken patches of dirt, I see lives lived fully and the good deeds of past generations influencing the future ones."

"To rescue from oblivion the history of a large and honorable family is a praiseworthy achievement. Somebody must begin the work. It is to be hoped that someone will complete it."
Joseph Woodruff Bozeman, 1885

"A Genealogist must have the patience of Job; the curiosity of a cat; the stubbornness of a mule; the eyesight of an eagle; be blessed with the luck of the Irish and have the ability and stamina of a camel to go long hours without food or drink."

RE: Samuel barnard
ok. I didn't know it would damage it? I wonder if rubbing a crayon over some paper would show what it says or if there is someway of being able to see the words on these headstones? they are withering away to the point nobody will be able to see anything. I wish there was a way to get atleast one photo of the writing on the hardest headstones before the weather totally does them in..

I really appreciate you efforts. thank you so much

Samuel barnard
Thank you so much for getting this photo. Did you happen to transcribe what it says since Its hard to read? Would shaving cream help us see the writing? Then rinse it off?

RE: Photo
The picture is my pleasure. I took it as a reference photo not realizing there is a request. I am working on a project in that cemetery and am uploading the transcriptions as well as the marker locations for every stone in that cemetery. I took the photo to make sure I was keeping my research materials in the right order. I plan to go back on a sunny afternoon when I am not working and take better photos. I'll upload those when that happens.

I also found that Abigail's parents are in the two plots next to hers.

Orvel Dorman
If you would like to have the Dorman family memorials transferred to you, feel free to ask to have them transferred. They are not related to me.
