I have worked on my Family Genealogy for about 25 years and have been to many many cemeteries through the years. My Mother and I put out flowers on many graves and liked to remember those that had "gone to Glory". Now that she is gone, I've taken it upon myself to follow in her footsteps by keeping the memories of our loved ones alive. I grew up in Tyler, TX and now live in Rockwall, TX. I will try to start taking pictures of the graves that I go to and add to this site.
I am not at all interested in numbers or seeing if I can get more graves than someone else - that is ridiculous! How could anyone do this to be competitive?
I am really only interested in my relatives, friends, and classmates, and their family connections - not just to reach a high number of graves.
If I make a suggestion or ask for a transfer it is someone I am connected to or related to and want to add information or correct information. I will do the same for you. Thank you for your help.

How did you know my great grandma?
Hi, my name is Megan and I see that you lived in Tyler and knew my great grandma. I live close to Rockwall actually and wanted to know if we could talk so I could find out more about her. My nana, Frances, passed away a number of years ago but I never knew much about her mother. Any information you may have is appreciated. Thank you.

Sorry about previous lack of the message ~ I hit the wrong button. You had asked before that I delete my memorial & I did so. Then today you wrote that the other memorial was not there & wanted me to add mine back. However, it the other one is still there (Find a Grave Memorial # 174893054) in Rosewood in Longview. Therefore, I did not add mine back, since it would in fact be a duplicate.

As for the picture, you can go to Rader Funeral Home website & get the picture. Let me know if you have further problems.

Shirley

Hello Gail ~ THANK YOU so much for calling my duplication of a memorial for Katherine Louise Smith McKenzie in Rosewood Park to my attention ~ I have deleted it. When I checked before entering mine, I guess I just overlooked the other one. Again, thanks for letting me know.

Have a great week!

RE: #133333350 Ken Carrell
Thank you, I would really like you doing this. It is really hard losing a child but I knew God as my savor and He made it possible for me to get through Ken's death. It is really assuring to know Ken is in Heaven and being able to walk.
Again,
Thank you, Jane Carrell

concerning a grave
Gail,
You left a note on my son's grave info.our last name isn't McKinzie, we live in McKenzie, Tn. Our last names are Carrell. Strangely enough I see you are from Tyler, Tx. Your name was on my brother-in-laws obituary page. Wondering if you knew him personally (Joe Thomas Carrell, Joe was minister of Music at Hyde Park Baptist Church years ago. My husband Kenny was Joe's brother. The grave notice that you sent your request to is our son Ken. If you find the time I would like to hear from you.
Thank you,
Jane Carrell

Charles McKinzie Descendant
My neme is Cynthia Graham Payne and I live in Corpus Christi, Texas. (My contact information is (361) 695-8444 and my email is cgrahampayne@yahoo.com). I am working on my DRT Application and am trying to trace my family back to December, 1845 (prior to Texas statehood). I need help. I am a decendant of Charles McKinzie (B-11/29/1865 D-4/5/1936) and Leona Noakes-McKinzie (B-9/28/1875 D-2/21/1961) of Nuecestown, Texas. If anyone has information on the generation before Charles, I would appreciate any leads. Charles McKinzie was my Great Grandfather. Also, if anyone has the information about the Thomas Noakes family dominant the U.S. from England, I could us that info too. Please help.
