Military Service
I understand that you have taken over the many "Find A Grave" postings of Joseph Patrick Abel since his death. I have been doing some research for
my father, a Captain, who is trying to find some of the men with whom he served. He thinks that Mr. Abel is one of those men. Do you know what
years Mr. Abel served (my father served during the Viet Nam War years) and also do you have any information about any bases that he was stationed at?
My father was in Maine initially - he flew KC-135s out of Loring AFB there.

If you have any information I would appreciate your sharing it. Or if you could point me in the right direction I would appreciate that, too.

RE: Tripp
It has been over 2 months since you sent info for a bio for Trooper Doug Tripp. I don't add the gruesome details of murder on bio's as the site discourages this. We are not allowed to put copy & paste obituaries on the site. That is in the rules.

Honoring Their Lives
I was so very pleased to find that you inherited the memorials that Mr. Able had created. My brother and I were talking after dinner last night about his friendship with John Robert Davis whose memorial you are maintaining. They grew up together, both worked for a lumbar yard in Dickson before heading out to their respective careers in law enforcement. My brother for many years could not bring himself to talk about his friend's death, the pain was too raw. As a state trooper himself in California, having both of these heroes in the uniform is something that I'm so proud of for both my brother and John Robert. Thank you for maintaining so many awesome memorials. Warmly, Helen Pickens Murphy

If I submit some edits for a memorial page maintained by Pat Abel, are you able to process them?

It has been suggested by Findagrave that survivors and copy & paste obituaries not be added.
