Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've been working on genealogy since the mid 1980's. If there are any photo's you need from the NW Indiana area I'll see what I can do...doesn't have to be cemetery.
I don't mind if you use the photo's I post as long as you are doing it respectfully and give credit where credit is due. I believe that genealogy and research should be shared. I'll transfer any memorial that I've added to a family member of the person...grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. Please request and let me know your relationship. Also, PLEASE don't post duplicate headstone photo's on the memorials I create. Thank you.
When I create memorials that aren't my direct ancestors, I feel it's a privilege to pass them on. I like to help people "see" their loved ones.

Thank you.

I transcribe my photo's so that they have GPS coordinates. The transcribing process does not tell me if there is an existing photo already on the memorial.

RE: Miltonville Cemetery
Carol, you are very welcome. I will be going back soon to try to find the remaining requests along with adding photos that haven't been requested. It seems most headstones have survived time and the elements.

I did notice some errors and sent you edits. I see you added your memorials from the Rootsweb source, I am verifying info from death certificates to correct mistakes from the Rootsweb transcripts. Using at least two sources is best practice since there are so many mistakes in the old records.

Take care, Amy

Thanks a lot for the correction. I have no idea if, when or where this information may have come from. Thanks again.

RE: Luiza J Story Upchurch
You are very welcome. I always wish I had taken a brush or something with me. When I get ready to go take photos though, I worry I might damage the stone. We took the photo as we found the stone, (my husband & I). Thankfully, some kind person had righted it! People are so good sometimes aren't they?? I don't know that I could have managed it, so am happy it had been repaired!

William Hastings, your 16th Grandfather
William was beheaded by Richard of Gloucester (later Richard III) for his stance on the succession of Edward V. Edward V was placed, with his brother, in the Tower of London and quietly disappeared (died) They became known as "The Princes in the Tower" Shakespeare immortalized this in his tragedy of "Richard III". Some thought Margaret Beaufort was responsible for their death, some Richard III. The controversy over this is still not resolved. In fact, the I saw a photo that shows a man pointing his finger and saying, "I tell you for the last time, Margaret Beaufort did not kill the Princes in the Tower!" said Jean Luc Picard. The author of this is saying that an incident in the 16th century won't be resolved in the 24th.

I found Ermer Zinnamon 1893 -1914. Could that be Ernie?

Do you want me to post the other Zinnamon photo?

Earl Zimmerman at Bethel cemetery
Greetings,

I was not able to locate Ernie Zimmerman or Earl Zimmerman during my search today. I did locate a marker for Earl Zinnamon 1890-1918. There were a few Zinnamon markers near other Zimmermans. Could this be an alternate spelling and the one for which you have an open request?

Best regards,
J. Paul Sides
