I live in northwest Iowa and am a retired journalism/English teacher. My husband and I enjoy walking cemeteries and finding gravestones, wondering about the life of the person buried there. We are glad to help others learn about their family history.

Genealogy fits my personality... combining a love of research, computer, writing, photography, and family.

I have enjoyed meeting other individuals and chatting about their pursuit of their ancestors' information. Although one can never truly "finish" researching a family line, I set a deadline of July each summer to "finish" one family line and enter it in the local county fair. I have won Best of Show the past seven years and in doing so, have been able to reach out to others and help them learn how to start searching for their own ancestors.
