I have always loved the old cemeteries. My interest in genealogy has brought me back into the cemeteries to find my roots. I love helping others to discover their past and to honor and remember those that have come before us. |
Currently I am working on photographing and transcribing the cemeteries of Queens Co. and Long Island, New York. I love learning about the interesting families that lived here and I am happy to help others when I can.
Nearly all of the information for the memorials I have entered is taken from photographs which I have personally taken. In the interest of getting as many people entered as possible, I have gotten behind in adding all my photos. If you see a memorial which I have entered and you would like a photo, please request the photo by clicking the "request a photo" tab on the memorial and then drop me a line to let me know that you have put in the request. I am not automatically notified when a photo request has been made on a memorial I have created.
I welcome all corrections. I try to be as accurate as I possibly can.

I just wanted to let you know that I found 9 pages of transcripts that were transcribed on Nov 10, 1904 by Frank Haviland.
I sent all edits that I found.... I believe you manage the majority of of the memorials there, this is why I am letting you know the source for all the edits ;)
Joyous Easter to You and Yours,

George Whitehead Skidmore purchased a stained glass window for said church. Just wondering if the Church with the window is still there. I have papers describing said window. George purchased it in memory of his wife Rosalie.

Do you know where the Church of Christ is there on Long Island? Reply to me on email rather than here please.

Hi. Thank you for all your contributions to FindaGrave. May we please use your photos with credit to you on our private family tree?

Thank you so much for the photo of the grave of George W. Francis. I'm glad to see the photo shows a flag for his service in the Civil War. I was surprised to get this as I didn't expect any photos until later in the Spring. Thanks again.

I sent you and email with some of my Murray names who are buried at the St. Patrick's Cemetery. I'm hoping you may already have some of the headstones photographed and would be willing to share/send my way. I'd love to have my grandparents, greatgrandparents and some of their children added to this valuable resource.
Thank you so much for all that you do!
