Bio Photo Hi, I am a retired high school art teacher from the Chicago suburbs. I recently moved to southern Illinois. I have been gathering family tree information for the past 12 years and find it very exciting. Photography is also one of my hobbies so I would love taking photos with my digital camera of your family members grave stone and emailing it to you.

Edith P. Brown Butcher
I just submitted some changes for Edith in Find a Grave. She was my grandmother.

I noticed that she was listed as being a child of... Butcher. I just wanted to get that changed so those that follow us on the genealogy trail do not get confused.

Edith Pearl was the daughter of William Homer Brown and Mary Ida Crabtree.

Thank you in advance,

Butcher murder in Johnson County, Ky
I am trying to verify the story of a Butcher relative who was said to have been beaten and left tied on a railroad track where he was hit and killed by a train. He was between 16 and 24 years old at the time and living in Johnson County, Kentucky. The name I have been told for such a person was Estil Raymond Butcher. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you The Butcher family

Preston W. Brown
This is for Kim R. that has an entry in the Murphysboro, IL. Cemetery for a Lady that was married to Preston Brown.
Wondering if she has more info on Preston. It's possible I might be related to him and the Garner's.

Hi, I hiked Oak Hill Cemetery in Downers Grove yesterday and then again today, but I did not find them. I also searched adjoining Oakrest cemetery with no luck. Oak Hill has some very old, illegilble or knocked over stones.

I've also found that some graves people think are in Oak Hill Downers Grove end up at Oak Hill in Geneva. Do you have a lot number for them in Oak Hill Downers Grove? If so, I could check again.

Your mother was a Castle. My father, Roy Cassell was from Beefhide, KY. The correct name spelling is Castle, but he changed it in order to stay in the Army at the age of 16. My grandparents were Joseph and Inas Castle. Any relation?
