"No matter how long a person lives, they touch and change the lives of others."|
- Father Aiden
Like many others, I found Find A Grave while searching for my ancestors. Although I currently live in South Florida, I am Indiana born and raised and will forever be a Hoosier at heart. I visit family in Indiana twice a year and always make time to stop at as many cemeteries as time will allow. (yes, my family thinks I'm a bit strange.)
I hope my efforts will perhaps help someone in their ancestry search. I also hope to help immortalize forgotten folks and some of these great old gravestones before they crumble away forever.
Some of the surnames in my family line are: Pratt, Churchill, Miller, Friend, Cook, Calentine, Strong, Himelick, Veal, Reeves, Swihart, Eaten, Bundy, Overton, Myers, Thomas, Tombaugh, and Shively.
I am also researching my husband's family ancestry including the following surnames: Habermann, Schafer, Tuohy, Kaiser, Davis, Minogue, McGrath, and Shenefield.
Please let me know if you need someone transferred to you. Also, please let me know if I've made any errors in my submissions, and I will correct them as quickly as possible.

Hello. I am researching the Hoover's in Indiana and found your picture on findagrave. I have tried a couple of times to find the Clark/Runkle Farm cemetery near Akron. I have not been able to find it. No one I have talked to has any photographs. I am specifically looking for anything on Nancy Ann Hoover who married Wagoner. Buried in Clark cemetery. Death 17 June 1841. Thanks for posting this picture.
|Marilyn Stanley||Caleb Ash and wife Keziah|
I just discovered that you have posted a photo of my ancestor's gravestone on Find a Grave. His name was Caleb Ash and he died in Miami County, IN in 1849 and is buried in the Gilead Cemetery. I thought I was the only person on earth who had ever heard of Caleb and his wife Keziah. I've never found anyone who is a descendant of either of these people and while I suspect that you are not a descendant either, I really appreciate you taking the time to post Caleb's gravestone for me to see.
I don't know if the following information is of interest to anyone but Caleb's oft married wife Keziah Dexter/Walter/Noggle died after 1880 in Dodge County, WI. I have an old tintype picture Of Eveline (Ash) Overly. If any of her descendants are interested in a copy I would be happy to share.

I believe the stone spelled the last name Chandonai, not Chandonia. It is a variation of Chandonet and Chandonnet.

Dear Susan, Alonzo Danforth memorial was attached to Rufus and to Malinda. I found the correct Alonzo memorial at 127107785. Now I can not find an active memorial for Rufus Danforth. If I caused you to delete any memorials, please re-enter them. His memorial may have been at Shaffer Cemetery, Cass County, Michigan. Thanks. Kathy J.

Thank you for the kind offer.... yes, I am in the middle of research on this branch of cousins. I would be glad to accept transfers of Avery memorials.

He is buried in Allen Cemetery. . .it used to be called Red Mill Cemetery. You have him listed as Garver Wells. I have a picture of the stone, which is next to Sarah (Wood) Foster, his mother in Law.

Is she related to you? I'll be happy to transfer management to you if she is.

Garver Wells is incorrectly entered at Allen Cemetery. Please see 1860 census. . . his name is Wells Carver and he is the son-in-law of Ira and Sarah A. Foster, whom he is lying beside. Notice both Ira and Wells died within a few months of each other.
