My name is Leslie MITCHELL Smith. I have been working on family history research on my husband's lines since 1999. I enjoy putting all of the "puzzles" together.|
I am currently working on putting all of my husband's family onto FindaGrave. If you have any additions and/or corrections, please feel free to contact me. I also have my files posted on RootsWeb.com.
I have been helped by so many others over the years that I am very willing to help gather information for other researchers. I do still have children at home, so I try to do my research while they are in school. So, please be patient with me :o)

|John Kraft||Vernon Truman Morse|
I visited Pioneer Burial Park in Oak Harbor, WA today to look for Mr. Morses' headstone. The caretaker showed me the plots for Mr. Morse and his wife Leona, however, there are no headstones for them. He is not sure if they are actually buried here. This is a very small cemetery limited only to the families and descendants of the five founders of this town.
The caretaker is one of the descendants also, and was very helpful. He mentioned that there is an annual get together for the living family members and descendants and they are always happy to find new relatives.
I am happy to send you the photos I took along with the gravesite map showing his plot next to his son's.
Let me know if you have any questions.
|Joanne Paisley||Franklin T. Rose # 21564281|
Hello, There has been some confusion about his name because an early census was incorrect. His name was Franklin Colbert Rose born 6 Jul 1857 in Indianola, Kansas Territory. He died 8 Feb 1919 in Elmont, Kansas. His father was Milton Antrim Rose born 14 Nov 1828 in New York and died 2 Apr 1874 in Elmont, Kansas. His mother was Ruth Knight born 26 Mar 1832 in Indiana and died 6 Nov 1893 in Elmont, Kansas. In the past I had corresponded with a descendant of Rufus Rice who also sent me pictures of some of the Rose family.
Leslie the only headstone in that row is James Poisel. You might want to check with City Hall in Zillah. Please remove request, so someone else doesn't look for it.

emailing the items you wanted plus the site locations.
|Wes Hart||James C. Mackey|
Sorry about the incorrect name for his father.
I do not know why someone other then Alexander Campbell Mackey came up as his father when I sent the edit. I resent the correct edit.
A James C Mackey born in Missouri is listed as a Brakeman for the Santa Fe Railroad, living in Williams, Coconino County, Arizona on his World War 1 Draft card and the 1920 census.
This James C is married to Elsie Jane Vandeventer.
If you have any other information on James or his family, I would love to see it.
Thank you very much

|S. Segall||Carrie Snyder at Valhalla|
My friend and I have searched Valhalla 4 times and have not found Carrie Snyder. Her husband Harry Snyder has a location listed and we looked there, but found no headstone. We know he wasn't requested, but used his given location as a point of possible reference. Would you please call Valhalla and confirm that Carrie Snyder has a headstone? If she does, it may not be visible as this cemetery is poorly maintained. I am happy to take a photo of her headstone or her location if provided. I can add gps coordinates for you if you would like.
I saw that you had requested a photo of a head stone for Greenacres Memorial Park, Ferndale, Whatcom, Washington, USA. I noticed that they have this message posted on the look up page....
Cemetery notes and/or description:
Prefer photo requests to be emailed to them. Their email is: email@example.com
You may want to re do your request if you have not received it yet

|JCH1984||RE: Coffee Creek Christian Church Cemetery|
We removed our picture because we found out the piece of his tombstone was at Old Coffee Creek, which is right down the road. Please check there- I don't know if someone moved the stone or it was just recorded wrong.
We did find a stone in the Hopkins row, right next to Felix that we thought was his but it is very illegible.
So just check Old Coffee Creek and you will see the pic there from someone earlier. Let me know if you have any questions, we will probably go back to this area in the spring.
