Bio and Links
Bio Photo Have lived in Hood River, Oregon, on the Columbia Gorge for 20 years and am happy to seek out graves and history in the wide area that is The Gorge.

I manage a number of memorials that are not of my family and I know how much it means to have a connection with our own past. Happy to transfer!

If you're managing any memorials with names that match my "Virtual Cemeteries" list, please let me know. It might be someone I didn't know to look for or haven't found yet. Thanks!!

Edwin Elmer Leighton #59926663
Thank you for the picture of the gravestone for Edwin Elmer Leighton Memorial #59926663.
I was interested in the inscriptions on the gravestone. There is a man on a horse in front of a mountain, also a barn, windmill, wheel barrow, etc. Are either of these representations of pictures of Edwin and or of his farm? The flag folded in a triangle refers to, I believe, his time as a Marine. Then there are the stirrups. Did Edwin ride a lot hence the stirrups and the picture in the corner?
Do you know anything about this? I would appreciate any response.

Now you will think I'm really nuts! I just deleted his whole memorial by mistake! I've just re-add it and will have to go get the stone etc.

Halla, I download your original, rotated counter clock wise and uploaded it again. I copied your information from the original, but you will need to either download and do what I did and them re-add it to George again. Either way would you delete your original upload, only you can do that by clicking on it and then in the upper right corner you can delete it. If you want to re-upload yourself so your name is on it then please let me know once you've done it and I'll delete my copy of it. Hope this makes some sense to you.

James Thomas Lea
Will you please share with me the name of the source from which you got the Birth Location and Birth Date of James Thomas Lea (#11680133)

His page states that he was born in Washington County, Mississippi in 1822? However, the only records I have found for him on Ancestry.com -- the 1850 Census for James and Margaret Lea, and the 1860 Census for James T. Lea and Margaret Lea -- both show him residing in Washington Parish, Louisiana and being born in Louisiana not Mississippi. He is also buried in Louisiana.

Are you sure he wasn't born in Washington Parish, Louisiana rather than Washington County, Mississippi?

Edward Segee
In St George Rural Cemetery you have entered a grave for an Edward L Segee JR and an Edward Lawrence Segee Sr. They are one and the same. Edward Segee's father was Frank. Both the Sr and Jr have the same dates. Jr is # 133273583. Sr is #133273605.

Victoria Korba

Reur post for the above (#143194954.)

I have an interest in this grave.

Victoria was my wife and I had her buried with
her mother.

I would like to edit her name but of course
I cannot unless I have access.

Would you be kind enough to transfer management
to myself.

My contributors name is MORRISAK.

Your comments appreciated.
