I love this site so I can enhance my ancestors memorials. It is a tribute to those who have passed on before us, gives relatives a chance to see their family member's headstones and information gathered on the memorial, and help with family research. I have been doing family research since 1978.|
To request a memorial to be transferred to you:
Go to the "Edit" tab in the upper right of the memorial, put in your relationship to the memorial, and your memorial #.
PLEASE to not post birth or marriage certificates or obituaries NOR put in the flower tab any information about the deceased. Send me in the "edit" tab to put this in the "Bio" section.
Thank you for all that have contributed to the memorials which are in my charge. And thanks to the ones that take pictures for me.
Virtual Cemeteries: I have thousands more names which I have not put in since researching in 1978.
I will not transfer if they are apart of my own family or friends. Some of the lines I am researching are Masters, Chamblee, Keith, Kay, Hoffman, Veitch, Harding, Randolph, Isham, Totherow, Whitworth, Cartright, Murray, Magnusson, Bird, Stapley, Bliss, Pomeroy, Cunningham, Roth, Harding, Quinlan, Barrows, Norris, Totten, Jordan, Stumpf and Hannum.
Because of the passing of contributor's Kathy McConnell and ancestorsatrest, I have been given a good portion of their memorials to take care of.
Elaine Berger has transferred the Mt. Pleasant City Cemetery memorials for me to take care of.

|Leon Luadzers||Memorial# 93116509|
My great great grandfather Benjamin Luadder is buried in Chamoise city cemetery. He was a civil war vet and should have a civil war soldier head stone.
I live out of state and I would love to have a picture of his grave and a map of the location in the grave yard. I may be traveling to Missouri in the near future and would like to see his grave.
My name is Leon Luadzers

|Mary Fowler Leek||Thank You ...|
... for uploading the photo of the grave marker for my grandfather Fowler at Find A Grave Memorial# 7669222.
This is very kind of you and I so appreciate you taking the time to do this.
|Steph McGrath||RE: McGrath / McNamara|
I sure can!
I used Michael & his sister Mary's obits, plus research I did to put together the stories. All that flowery language was from the newspaper, but I thought it was a great tribute to them and what they went thru.
All the info and citations are on my public ancestry.com tree Steph's 99.9% if that works for you. Or I can email you an invite if you prefer and you can spelunk.
Can you explain your connection better? Ellen's also my 3rd great-grandmother, but I can't quite "get" how we are related.

Thank you so much for your speedy reply - I know all about Ancestry and their not-so-nice ways... I am NOT a member, thank you.
From what you say, however, I believe that I do know who this Isaac Snow was and I have his Snow lineage and will post it on WikiTree - the Free genealogy site - where I keep my Snow family genealogy. They have their problems too (a human trait, alas!) but in general I find the site flexible and quite dedicated to Sources, which is my own credo in Genealogy.
I believe this is Isaac Snow who was born in Indiana from a family where the father (Isham or Isom) Snow was born in Ohio and the mother (Mary ??) was born in Kentucky. They moved back and forth across the Ohio River between these 3 states (Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky) until 1860 when they pioneered Missouri - so that this young man fought in the Civil War for the Union in Missouri. He survived, married Mary W. a Missouri gal, and had 3 children before her untimely passing in 1880; he died in 1884, leaving their children still teenagers or younger.
Thanks for your help - the Alabama birth place is simply wrong and should be replaced with Indiana. He must have been very young when a Union soldier - probably lied about his age.
Best to you,
A Southern Snow

What a nice, unexpected surprise! That was so thoughtful of you. Thank you. Reva is actually the mother of my beautiful sister-in-law, Kerri. I'm very honored to be the guardian of her memorial until maybe one of her posterity joins Find A Grave some day.

Hello. Thank you for all you do on Find A Grave.
I know you did not create this memorial for Isaac Snow but, as its current manager, perhaps you have access to the records of the man who created it. He is deceased since 2010.
I am researching this SNOW family branch and I cannot find any "Isaac Snow" born on December 3, 1847 in Alabama as it is listed on this Memorial. Or any Isaac Snow born in 1847 or 1848 in Alabama at all... Do you have access to any additional information or sources that might help me find his lineage? Could he have been born in Kentucky instead ?? Thanks for any help.
