I've been researching my family's history for several years. I'm fascinated with the history and how people are connected. Everyone should have a memorial to honor their memory. I've seen some people say that Find-a-grave is for memorials *not* genealogy like it's dishonorable to use it as such but genealogy *is* a way of honoring their memory. This is why I do it.|
I don't *collect* memorials so, if anyone I've listed is your relative and not mine, I'd be glad to transfer to you. Also happy for any corrections or additional information. Accuracy is so important. Please don't be offended if I ask for documentation. I might if I can't confirm it on my own. It's not personal. I double-check myself, also. :)
I'm also interested in sharing information with fellow researchers.

Awww that's to bad, so many things get destroyed. it's hard when it's good memories. I think of her often, i remember lunches with her,Mom said she came over and got me everyday, and it was cottage cheese, i still love it to this day. it's so hard to lose people close to you. sometimes it seems like so long ago, other times it seems like yesterday. Thank you for contacting me, you get so busy with day to day life, and the days pass so quickly.i hope you and yours are doing well. Take Care Bobbi

I have deleted the William Alfred Clonts that I had entered. I would like to see the death certificate for the one that died in the mine. Please send it to me at email@example.com.
HI, Nice hearing from you. Yes have done a lot of work on FGA. Seems this site grows on you. I even updated some of the Shelton bios this summer (mostly those around or connected to Wythe Co., and Greenville).
You are now a friend! Bless you!

Received your message and deleted the duplicate listing for Basil Hood and moved my headstone photo over to his other listing. Thanks.

Vickie, I added Fannie Mae to findagrave because she lived at the head of my granparents "holler" and is buried near them within eye shot of the holler. I have very fond childhood memories of her. I do not know anything about the Jenkins family. I didn't add any of the others in that cemetery. Sorry but I can't be of any help. Vivian

Hi Vicki, I have researched the Burton family extensively. Burton in my maiden name. He is listed in a Civil War Book entitled "The Virginia Regimental Histories Series, 4th VA Infantry." He enlisted on April 24, 1861 in the 4th VA Infantry, Co F. He was listed as a farmer. He was discharged from service, July 27, 1862, because of age. He died in March 1902 in Tazewell County, Virginia. Linda
