Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born and raised in northeastern New Jersey, and now live in the beautiful north Georgia mountains. I am a late bloomer in regard to researching the history of my ancestors (who isn't?), but absolutely love the journey! I have many ancestors in New Jersey and look to add them to my memorials on F.A.G. as often as possible. I also have an extensive family tree on Ancestry.com, and learn of new family members all the time. Many of my ancestors are from Germany, Scotland, Ireland & England, and settled along the east coast, mostly in the NJ & NY area.
My current research interests include my mother's side of the family, surnames Betz, Sleith, King, McHoldt and Hall. My main goal here is to memorialize my family and friends and have a little fun along the way. That said, I simply will not tolerate certain members who have nothing better to do with their time than try to take that away. Rudeness will be ignored only ONCE!
Please contact me if you would like to use any of my pictures. I am also willing to transfer any of the memorials I have done volunteer photos for or any other memorials I have posted here in north Georgia. Most of them are not related to me, but they should be related to you in some way.

link to your tree
Good morning Pam,

just wanted to let you know that I followed instructions on getting to your tree, but had no luck... I did the first time and then did an update on my computer and now I can't get back to it. Could you send me a message through ancestry's link and maybe that would work? thanks a bunch!

RE: ancestry
am curious as to how far down the line you are talking.. I looked at your main tree but am not sure who to look for... since so many are "private" I don't know where to look for Lang or Roll

Hello "Jersey girl".... while updating my grandparents history.. I noticed that your name was under a picture that I posted on Find A Grave... Their names are Henry & Julia Lang. I was fortunate to be raised by them; along with my siblings and father. I would appreciate it if you have any information on this lineage if you could share it since most of the family is now gone. My Aunt Elizabeth was primarily the "historian" till I took over but sadly she is now gone as well. The only remaining family from their children are my dad Walter Earl and my Uncle George Frederick. I have been working on this for the past 20+ years, but trying to find anything on Henry; ie: parents,siblings has lead me to a wall. Please let me know if you have anything further.

Sincerely,
Karen Lang

Mary J Sleith
Hello,
I believe Mary J Sleith is my great-grandmother and was interested in seeing if you are related and potentially could have more information regarding my heritage. Sadly, my father passed away last year and I have no one on his side to help gather information. Any help you can offer is welcomed!

RE: George Raab #67027911
Hi. I just wanted you to know there is no such cemetery as Bay Shore Cemetery. Only Oakwood and St. Patrick's.

Obituary - George Raab died May 16, at the age of 65. He was the husband of Mathilde (Nee Zang) Raab. He reposed at Sullivan Funeral Home, 42 Second Avenue, Bay Shore, New York until Thursday May 18 when religious services were conducted by the Rev. Arthur Steinke of the Grace Lutheran Church of Central Islip, at 10 a.m. Committal services and cremation were at Washington Memorial Park, Coram.

Pam - not a brother at all. Do the following to see how to link a name to a memorial:

Go to your profile page;
Click on Help with Find A Grave;
Scroll down to the section labeled "Submitting Information ..." (4th section);
Scroll to the bullet "How do I add a link ..." and click on it;
Read the instruction and give it a try.

Note: copy/paste the appropriate "coding" into the bio versus attempting to re-type it yourself.

It might take a few attempts for it to look right in the bio section.

Pam - glad to help, and great you could grab a copy of the accident off newspaper.com. BTW, the other naval officer killed has been entered on findagrave, so if you wish, you could link the name of ENS D. P. Werner to his memorial (#57226600) when you display the news article.

RE: James Edward Monahan 49267071
I fond a specific hit on newspapers.com by using his full name. Also narrowed it by entering the year 1946. If you don't have direct access (a Google search with the same key words should get a link and a few displayed words from the article), let me know. I think I can capture the page and send it to an email address as an attachment of some type. Mike
