Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am located in Alberta, Canada. Family research is a passion of mine, and since most of my family came from Norway and the U.S. allot of it is done online. Although I mostly specialize in Norwegian research, which I have gotten very good at, I also do alot of research in the Eastern States.

I very much like helping others find info and taking pictures of graves, so if I am near I would love to help. I also travel lots so will also fill requests if in an area.

Any photo's that I add to memorials you are more than welcome to save or use in your family trees.

RE: Addie Seierstad photo
Michelle,

As a new member I can only tell you that I have added information to several other family memorials. I generally receive an email stating that the input is under review (by who?) and then several days later I've received an email (from who?) approving the input. Maybe you can fill me in on this process. I've just assumed that it is Find A Grave who looks into the information and then accepts it.

You asked me if I would like you to transfer the two memorials over to you.....sure that sounds great! That is if you would like to. But there again,I don't know what that looks like or what I need to do after this happens.

RE: Addie Seierstad photo
Michelle,

I stand corrected...a photo my grandmother's headstone is what I should have said.
I've already add information regarding Addie so thanks for the offer. Also, I frequent the cemetery to spend time with her.

My curiosity was around whether or not you knew Addie. I'm a new member for Find a Grave and am on the learning curve.

Addie Seierstad photo
Michelle,

I have to ask why you placed a photo of my grandmother on find a grave?
Did you know Addie Seierstad at some point in time?

RE: William Windsor
that is odd but if you visit the Lakeside Cemetery link, it says GAR lot:
http://www.porthuron.org/cemetery_search.aspx#

It shows you exactly where he is buried. I would call the Lakeside Cemetery for further details. Maybe there is an error but you would need to correct.

RE: William Windsor
I don't know the link but you can google it or go to Veteran's Affairs. I've located burials in a couple of cemeteries for civil war vets. Distant family members have applied for, received & installed the headstones. Just make sure you indicate that you are a family member or cousin. And be sure to let Veteran Affairs know William is already buried in a GAR plot - that is an important fact and use my photo.

RE: William Windsor
the military headstone was and still is free - you can, as a distant relative, apply for a free headstone for William. Perhaps since he was divorced, no one applied for his headstone which happens more than we think. Port Huron often gives free graves to veterans.

RE: Anderson - Marmora Common Cemetery
Marmora Common is also known as Marmora Protestant. I have transferred both memorials related to that marker. So happy to have them in the care of their family!
