PLEASE DON'T ADD A DEATH CERTIFICATE TO MY MEMORIALS. TO ME IT'S DISTASTEFUL AND DEATH CERTIFICATES HAVE PERSONAL INFORMATION LISTED ON THEM. SOME OF THE NEWER ONES HAVE SS NUMBERS LISTED.

My name is Vickie BYRUM Schley. I have lived in the central Missouri area all my life. My husband and I are retired and have started doing some traveling. I became interested in Find A Grave when I was looking for my two sisters and my brother's grave sights. They all died as infants, in 1939 and 1941. Headstones were never placed on their graves. In 2012, Michael (my husband) and I started the task of getting headstones placed on all three graves. This year we completed this task with the help of Mom and Dad's trust fund paying for the headstones. We travled to several states. Juddie is in Roswell, New Mexico, Grace is in Morseville, a small village near Stockton, Illinois (north of Rockford, Illinois), and Judy's grave is only a few miles from where I live in Missouri. We also found my grandfathers grave in Stockton, Almon Coe Byrum. There was no headstone on his grave. This year, June 2013, we placed a headstone on his grave.
We enjoy finding old non-listed headstones and linking them to other family members already listed on Find A Grave. Some are broken and buried headstones. It is kind of like bring them back to life.

RE: Mary E Byrum Elliott
Hi Vickie, it was my pleasure to be able to help. I went back to the cemetery this morning and looked around the stones where Mary is buried at. It appears that Mary's husband Joseph does not have a stone.

Note: the info on the ancestors being Huguenots is likely not correct. - Del

RE: James Nathaniel Summers
Per his death cert, it appears his parents are Nathaniel Summers & Sallie Rogers. Unfortunately, father d. 1877 before the 1880 census. I have not yet found if Sallie remarried? Also, do you know Lula's maiden name? Please email me direct. Thanks.

Oh thank you! Elizabeth Hartman Carleton's stone(John Carleton's spouse) is 1/2 buried in the dirt, If you are standing behind the church looking straight at the Cemetery, she is over to your left, a few rows toward the back fence from the Harrison Dukes,& Mary Tindle, not really sure how much this info helps you...Happy Holidays!

RE: Frank Burton
You're welcome. Do you think Snorgrass is related to Lydia ___ Burton? Maybe she was a Snorgrass?
