I am doing the research on my Davis Family. Andrew 1797 was the father of Reece Price Davis, my g-g-grandfather. I have been trying to find the name of his mother. Andrew 1756 names her Rachel in his will and she applied for his pension after his death and that was in 1845 in Claborne, AL. I found him buried in Jacksonville, AL City cemetery and death listd as 1838, most likely put there much later, his will is 1842 but pension shows 1845 No sign of Rachel and she is not on the 1850 census with son Wilson A. who was supposed to take care of her. I would love to correspond with you personally and see if we can share information Thanks Joy Davis Moore

Tom, How exciting this morning to see the articles and read about this Golson family. I only started my Golson Family Tree several months ago, so I do appreciate this information. My son descended from Carrie Rebecca Golson Edwards, a younger sister of Thomas J. Golson. Do you know if Ken has a public tree on Ancestry for the Golson's? If he is interested I do have photos of Carrie and her husband in my public tree. Thank you so much!

Tom, you have posted a photo of Tom and his wife Mary on their memorial page. Is there any information you can give on the family or photo? I have copied this photo to add to my Ancestry Family Tree. If you did not intend for it to be copied, please advise and I will remove. Thank you Pat Berel #47164320
|Bill Smith||RE: Transfer|
Thank you for your reply. That is what I did...or thought I did. And Findagrave emailed me a confirmation of my suggestion for that specific memorial. Here was my process:
Go to the memorial.
Select "Suggest any other correction or addition"
Send the message.
Is there some other way?
His memorial has been transferred to you. Sorry I am late with the transfer, was on vacation and just remembered when I saw your other edit for him.

Would you please remove John Samuel Barker memorial #39442208 as his father? John Clanton Barker was born in 1824, John Samuel Barker was born in 1861.
Nancy Elizabeth Shoemaker Barker memorial #39442204, is his wife, not his mother. I think John Samuel Barker is his son.
|Mary Ann Van Horssen||Elizabeth E Waldron|
Thank you for adding the article of her death to Find A Grave.
Although the article says she was born in North Carolina, whatever source information we do have says she was born in Tennessee.
Mary Ann Van Horssen
