Thomas Jasper Hotchkiss
You asked what my connection is to Thomas Jasper Hotchkiss - he was brother to Mary Evelyn Hotchkiss, my late husband's grandmother. As we were married 36 years, I consider his family mine too.

Virginia G Kraft
I have a photo of a Virginia Kraft in Section 1 Row C and it has the date of Sept. 28 1907. Didn't know if this might be the one you have listed? This is in Greenwich Cemetery. Sorry, I just wanted to ask you about it before I added a new one or added the photo on your page. thanks! Jen

Riner requests
Thank you for the effort. Seems someone already beat you to it after all. My original request was answered in less than a week just this past January. I have a lot of relatives buried in Bonaventure Cemetery and I've just recently discovered that a lot of them are on findagrave but have no marker photos and when the photos are added, no dates are added and/or edits are done. Seems both of these Riner men had dates of death on their memorial pages but no birthdates even though the markers had both dates. I had to edit them as the person who added the photos did not. Anyway, thanks again. I make the photo requests when I find more about my relatives so I'll probably make more requests. Do you know if Greenwich is a section of Bonaventure or an entirely different cemetery? According to findagrave, they're two different cemeteries. When I look at the Bonaventure Cemetery map, Greenwich is a section of Bonaventure Cemetery.

George Johnson - Oakwood
Ally - you have a photo request for a George W. Johnson at Oakwood in Richmond. I recently took a photo of a George W. Johnson at Oakwood. The death date is the same (Aug. 25th of 2001) but the birth date is different (Feb. 24th 1918). Could this be the same person ? He is buried with a Charles F. and Janie L. Johnson. Thanks, Larry

RE: Azubah Hagar
You're very welcome, and yes, that would be fine. Are there any others you are looking for in that area?

RE: Hey JoAnn!
I purchased the 3 volume set (at this time) from the Diocese in Savannah a few years ago and yes I am typing each letter/word. From comparing the books to the actual burial info and from the volunteers, who have donated their time, I have learned a lot and have sent/added edits/info have to me, have tripled our knowledge abt. the cemetery and those interred there. I don't go from cover to cover or volume I-3, I look at the index and go from there. As I complete as well as other contributors, I highlight the names in the index. I have at times called the Diocesean offices and have asked a few questions so I can make, to the best of my ability, to have correct info. I know that there are duplicates in the volumes and I also make notes of that in each bio section. Sometimes watching television, I crank up and submit info and sometimes I crank it up all day and into the night. I have health issues and am hoping that at the end of my daily contributions, have helped at least one person and all the work will be worth my time.

If I can ever help you or others, kindly contact me.

May I use the monument photo that you contributed to the Find A Grave Memorial for Edmund Wheeler, to post on the Vermont Civil War site? (
You will receive credit for this.
Thank you for your consideration.

2 Downs with same name
How is your Emmett Thomas Downs (# 113506056) related to my Emmett Thomas Downs (# 5330369)? Are they father and son, or maybe grandfather and grandson?

Request to Transfer - Kate Humphrey Hoover
Ally, you and I wrote to each other back on Jan. 3, 2015, and Jan 5, 2015 regarding my grandmother, Kate Humphrey Hoover, and her daughters and you helped me so much. Just doing some more genealogy on my Mom's family, I realized I did not have my mom's sister, Gladys Howard Putnin, her husband and their son in my family tree. I would like to update Kate Humphrey Howard #105632077 bio a little and include Glady in it. Kate also had a daughter by her first husband a Fred Rowe that I need to create records for and get her added as well. Just to make it more confusing, Kate's 2nd husband (my grandfather - William Howard first marriage produces two daughters - which I plan to try to get added to my family tree), Another great feature of FAD records now is that they are showing up for research in It looks like Gladys had a tragic life. Her baby son, Alex, died at 1 yr. 7 months. And she died shortly after that in 1931. Her husband, Alexander Putnin, a Russian immigrant, died in 1940. So that entire little family died out. I still have not gotten back down to Savannah since I last wrote to you. Take care.
