Hill Family
I am trying to research the Hill Family of Brown Co. Ohio.
My great grand mother was Ella Hill (1869 - 1950), married to John G Quinlan both of Georgetown.
What I have pieced together is her father was William Hill sr (1838 - 1911), wife Mary Reese (no information). I have old tin type that has Grandma Reese written on it. I am assuming based on period for metal plate photos this was Mary’s mother.
Ella’s grandfather was also William Hill jr (1795 – 1845), wife Joanna Stewart (1799 – 1880).
However at Find a Grave the information for the aforementioned William Hill sr show no son named William and William Jr show no daughter Ella.
Does anybody know anything about the Hill Family of Georgetown or the Mary Reese or Joanna Stewart families? Besides trying to sort out this part of my lineage, my wife and recently discovered we are 5th cousins by DNA testing (23andme and Ancestry). We know we both had Hills in our family trees but think we’d find each other the list of over 1000 cousins each. We can’t find a common ancestor so far. Any help would be appreciated.

RE: Jonathan Goldman
It's a link to a portion of the family tree at, a genealogy website much like, except that it's free. You simply need to create an account at, then you can access that link. You can also find billions of records there, such as the marriage record and census I mentioned, at

RE: Jonathan Goldman
Thanks for making the correction. Sorry, I don't have any information on Elizabeth parents or siblings--all I could find was the marriage record and the 1870 census. You may be aware of this, but Jonathan and William had other siblings; see

Good luck,

Jesse Long
His Father Ray Edward Long and my Great grandfather Jessie Franklin Long were brothers. I have found some info and very few pics for them, it seems they are a hard family to try to trace down haha. I never had the opportunity to meet any of my grandfathers family, I was surprised to find them from Indiana, he always said his family was in Louisiana. You wouldn't happen to have any pictures of William and Ivanora Long or any of their children? I would love any info on his family.

John Henry Henderson
I noticed on John Henry Henderson's profile that you left a note stating he was your g-grandfather. He is my g-g-grandfather through his daughter Mabel (Henderson) Pearson...her son Robert Ova Pearson...his son Robert Allen Pearson...and I am his daughter. I've been researching our genealogy, but I have not found any Fairchild's. How are you related?
