Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've been into family history since the 1960's. I'm grateful that I started when I did as so much family information gets lost because we don't ask questions early on.

Find a Grave is a great site and powerful resource. Thanks to all who work so hard to fulfill its primary purpose - documenting known burials.

I'm currently working in Olivet Memorial Park in Colma, CA. I particularly enjoy it when my work preserves pre-1906 earthquake information.

I'm happy to make changes and links for well documented information. Please send transcriptions of obits and news articles (with name and date of the publication) rather than uploading images of them to the photo area (this is no longer permitted by Find-a-Grave). Also, please note that "cut and paste" or transcribed census reports are NOT a bio. Data will be put into proper fields. If you want more, please write a few narrative sentences.

A note on cause of death... I am am okay with adding general "circumstances of death" such as "of an accidental gun shot while duck hunting," or "in an auto accident," or "at the Battle of Gettysburg," but not suicide or murder. Extended descriptions of death or technical medical causes such as "fracture of skull with cerebral contusions and hemorrhage," or "cirrhosis of liver," etc., will not be added as I feel they are inappropriate to the purpose of Find-a-Grave."

Permission is granted for personal use of any of the photos I have added, giving me credit for having provided them. Permission is denied for use of my photos for posting on other websites (for Ancestry.com - please use their linking option instead). Permission is denied for for sale of my photos or for any other use for monetary profit.

Just realized I sent in an error for Charles A Boldemann, the short obit and death date are for Adolph Jr., aka Adolph C. Boldemann. There must have been an Adolph "III" as the obit identifies him as Adolph Sr.
Thanks.

Hi Larry - Are you available to take a photo of a headstone in Cypress Lawn Memorial Park in Colma, CA? I have the name, already existing FindaGrave memorial number, and location within the Memorial Park.

Hi Larry,
Thank you for the transfer of my relatives memorials. I appreciate your work in establishing both of these as well as the marker photos.

Sorry to say, but I did get that from the death certificate. So I guess just leave it blank. Good information to know for the future. Thanks

Larry,

As you suggested, I removed the linkage so that Persis H Sibley is notlisted as the mother to Mary Jennings.

Would you like to manage this memorial? If so, I will transfer it to you. I'm afraid that if I continue management, I won't be as diligent as you in making sure that the wrong linkages are not "automatically" made.

Best,
Loretta

Rose Blackman Rackusin
Thank you for your work!

Our family bible has Rose (Blackman) Rackusin, Morris Blackman, and Sid Rackusin death dates in it. We also have pictures of Rose Rackusin and my great grandmother Chane Rosalie (Blackman) Friedman. They look like twins so I always assumed they were sisters, but Morris is not Chane's father. Perhaps they were first cousins.

Do you have any other information besides the gravestone linking Rose Rackusin to Morris Blackman?

trying to locate family members
Hello,Yesterday I was cleaning out a storage locker and in my stepfather's things I found a very personal military item belonging to a "Willard R Voorhees". There is information within it that indicate his wife's name is Elmaro, his 2 sons were listed as "Rhodes Whitney Voorhees" and "Somey Roy Voorhees".

Is there any chance this might be the resting place of the Willard that I have found his item.

I would love to return it to the family, no strings attached... just would like to return it to the right next of kin, if in fact this would be the owner's.

My stepfather was retired military and I dont know if this was a friend or even same branch of service, as mother remarried late in life and little was shared by him.

Thank you
Katy
