Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've been researching family genealogy for many years and also upload local cemetery registers for the cemeteries in our county.

I have no familial connection to most of the people I upload, so feel free to request transfers of your relatives. I only ask that you let me know how you're related to a family. Or if you have a decent reason, I'm good with that, too. If you'll take good care of a memorial, I have no problem transferring if you're not related.

While I have many memorials, I am not a numbers person. I would rather have family members maintain memorials.

I make updates very quickly, and usually do not reply back unless I have a question. I frequently will use the email provided in the edit to respond to a question. If your correction has not been made, please check to see if I've emailed, as I normally don't make the updates if I do not have the question answered.

**Please use the Edit feature on memorials over requesting changes in messages or sending emails. That really is the easiest and most efficient way to accomplish updates. Thanks!**

****If you volunteer on this website and decide you no longer want to maintain memorials, please transfer your records to someone who has an active account and are willing to take over management of the memorials. I am one of many willing to take over records. This really will help reduce duplicates.

Right now, you can email info@findagrave.com if you have someone who has accepted stewardship over the memorials you added. Please send in their member number with your email. Feel free to contact me should you wish that someone maintain the memorials you have created. Thanks!*****

Death is only an old door
Set in a garden wall
On gentle hinges it gives, at dusk
When the thrushes call
Along the lintel are green leaves
Beyond the light lies still;
Very willing and weary feet
Go over that sill
There is nothing to trouble any heart;
Nothing to hurt at all.
Death is only a quiet door.
In an old wall.

RE: Mary McHugh Memorial
You're welcome. I don't know if she is a relative.
Even though she died in Seattle, my 2nd great-grandma is buried in St. Stephen Cemetery, as are several of her relatives. Her husband gave her mom's maiden name as Catherine Machen on her death certificate. It also says she (Catherine Machen) was born in England. She was born in Ireland. She is also buried in St. Stephen. Her tombstone says Catherine Lamb Harvey. I was searching for my Irish roots, thinking perhaps someone's handwriting was misinterpreted, that perhaps MacHen may be MacHugh.
I am in Arizona. I have only recently had time to learn about this site. I know nothing about what a 'transfer' entails or what would be expected of me.
I didn't know I had this contributor page until you messaged me. I am interested in contributing photos eventually & learning about virtual cemeteries. I started that today.
I think this is a wonderful site. I have benefited much from it & will be happy to contribute to it.
I'd hoped my contribution would support the care of that obviously neglected gravestone. It looks as if it had been completely overgrown by grass at some point. It was very dirty, damaged & difficult to read. If my contribution supports this site, that's fine too.
Thank you for your contributions and your interest!

I's love to sponsor his memorial. He's actually my Great Great Grandfather.

He is my 4th grandfather on my father's maternal side. I would be happy to take care of his site.

I wondered about triplets too. I haven't found a birth year for Idda anywhere.

Men with Maiden Names
Hi Jonelle,

I noticed that in Saint Mary of Mount Carmel Catholic Cemetery, in Fancher, Portage County, Wisconsin, you have men with maiden names. Why is this? For example: Bernard G "Bert" Sobieszczyk Somers.

I submitted an edit to change Jan "John" Somers Sobieszczyk, but when I noticed this second one, I thought I should ask you before submitting any more edits.

Thank you,

Mina

RE: Pederson
You can re-add him. You can recycle one of the deletions into him if you want.

RE: Pederson
Just realized that Petrine is buried by her parents, same grave location for all three.

Pattrenes and Idda are in the next row. I don't quite understand the numbering system for the cemetery so they may be directly behind their parents.

RE: Pederson
My thinking is that Pattrenes and Petrine are boy/girl twins. The records list Pattrenes as son and Petrine as daughter. Idda is also listed as a daughter and died 7 days earlier.

Pattrenes and Idda are buried next to each other, while Petrine is in a different row. I find that odd if the Pattrenes and Petrine died on the same day and Idda died 7 days earlier. Idda should be the one by herself.

I will add them to my list to look for grave markers.

Pederson
Are Idda Pederson and Pattrenes Pederson the same person? I see Pattrenes has been deleted. Just wondering.
