I have been studying my family genealogy for over 15 years as a side project. I am interested in sharing and exchanging information and stories with other long lost cousins and the like. In addition, while sharing with others, I am trying to collect as many ancestor headstone photos as I can for my family scrapbooks. Find-a-Grave has been a great resource for collecting these photos as well as a great place to share the one's I have taken.|
Now living at the edge of the mountains of Western Polk County, Tennessee, I am close to only a handful of cemeteries but by request, I can take photos in cemeteries near me.

You are sooo blessed! If there is a heaven here on earth, it lies between the Blue Ridge and Smokey Mountains. You are also energetic and most artful in your creative endeavors; yes I reviewed all your work:)

Just wanted to let you know that your photo request for Wm. Logan's grave is not ignored. I created the memorial from a list I had made for the Chambers County, AL Cemetery Book, back in the 1980s. In the last few months I have been in the cemetery several times and have made searches in the area, using my old list to get an idea of where his grave should be. However I have failed each time to locate it. I don't know if something has happened to the marker or somehow I am not in the right section of the cemetery looking. I have asked some other people to help me search and hopefully soon we can locate it.

Do you know his children's names and if he was married before McFarland?

Thanks again Scott on behalf of our applicant

I suspected it was due to his wife that he was buried in Westmoreland Co. as it is about 25 to 30 miles from where he died.
And those days the road was a deer trail so getting a body there it would have been rough duty, A question then, is there a marker for Isabella?? if so can I get copy?
Thanks for your time Scott its really appreciated

I am Ray Ford the Genealogist for the Pittsburgh Chapter SAR, I have an applicant for our society and am tracing his Patriot ancestor Manassah Coyle b 1756 d in Mercer Co, in 1834 yet seems to be buried in Unity Westmoreland I guess because of his wife Isabella Ewing.
Do you know if there is a gravestone of a marker that I could obtain a picture of or an official record of his burial there as the Sons of the American Revolution do not recognize the Find a grave paper. Any help will be greatly appreciated Scott
I thought that I had posted pictures of the Nicholls' family gravesites. I am doing some clean up and restoration work at the Moorman Cemetery so I can get those pictures for you. My great grandfather was Andrew C. Moorman. By any chance, are you on ancestry.com?

You are very welcome. Your ancestors are in a very pretty little cemetery behind a beautiful country church. Glad to help you out.
