Bio and Links
Bio Photo One of the best features of Find A Grave is that it provides a forum where years of genealogical research can be shared with others. Please let me know if you have additional biographical or statistical information for any of my memorials, as it is always welcome. The wealth of knowledge that others have sent to me through Find A Grave is astounding.

If you are aware of links for parents and/or spouses that I have not yet added, I would appreciate it if you would use the edit tab to leave the name and memorial number of the person or people who should be linked.

Thanks to all those who have generously shared your family stories and beautiful photos with me. I sincerely appreciate being allowed to add them to the memorials for your loved ones. The pictures and studio portraits that for years have been carefully preserved in family photo albums, add such a wonderful dimension to Find A Grave. They help create a memorial tribute that is all the more special and meaningful.

Before asking for a memorial transfer, please determine whether or not this is really necessary. Transfers of management should only be requested if you have extensive changes to make to a memorial. You can add photos and suggest corrections even if you are not the memorial manager. Simply having someone in your family tree is not grounds for a transfer request. It would be impossible for all contributors to manage their entire family trees.

Transfers will only be considered if they comply strictly with Find A Grave guidelines. You must state your exact relationship to the deceased. People who request transfers and then fail to improve and maintain the memorial are certainly not honoring the memory of their family member.

Bulk surname transfers will not be considered under any circumstances.

Unless otherwise noted, all bios on my memorials were researched and written by me. Post-1922 verbatim obituaries have not been included in order to avoid copyright violations.

I have put a lot of time and effort into my memorials on Find A Grave. I strive to make sure that the information on them is as accurate as possible, but I am realistic and know that mistakes do happen. Please use the edit tab to leave a message regarding any errors or omissions that need to be corrected.

By working together, we can continue to build Find A Grave into a better and better site!

Note: 30 Sep 2013 marked a very sad day for all Find A Grave contributors when the founder of this website sold us out to ancestry.com.

I will continue to add to and maintain my memorials as long as Find A Grave remains a completely free website, open to all without charge.

Rhoda Ann Walker Jordan
James B Jordan was my grandfather, he is buried at Hillis Cemetery. You posted information on him, his death certificate and information that found a number of years ago. I cannot find anything about Rhoda Ann Jordan his mother. You stated she lived next door and died at the age of 45, a widow. I cannot find a death certificate or a grave site. If you can give me information on how to proceed I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Thank you for updating his page to reflect the information for him that I had once had on my own page for him that I had been coerced into deleting. So many words can't be said, but at least finding a fellow team player is refreshing.

Bessie Tyree Anderson
Someone put a correction to Bessie's name in the 1920 census to Anderson. I have to tell you a story. My husband's grandfather started out as William, then to Marion Rufus W. Wood, then to Marion Rufus, then to Rufus Marion Wood, they just changed their name when they wanted. Some times you have to look pass names. Thanks for adding that information. Sheila

William Marion Anderson
I have the marriage certificate for William and Bessie Tyree: 30 Dec 1903 --Franklin Co. Mo. His name on the marriage was Marrion I Anderson. Also have a notice of court.
Mrs. Bessie Anderson went to Iowa the first of last week with Attorney Jesse M. Owen of Union to appear in court to present a petition asking for a monthly allowance for support from her husband, Marion Anderson, who had been working in Iowa for over a year and not contributing any to her support. Her petition was granted. ( If I had a regular e-mail I could send you the print out. I would say he was divorced from Bessie.)

William Marion Anderson
Buried in Fee Fee Cemetery, St Louis, Co. Mo. Another family has William married to a Bessie Tyree and she is buried at Sullivan, MO.died 1966. I don't know who he was married to, but this is very weird. swood@rollanet.org

Mother and daughter (photos)
Lynn, you are welcome. Such a sad story for mother and daughter and the older couple. In an instant such things can happen.

Lynn,
Yes, this is the right location. I added a photo for her memorial today. The location is in the Main Building at East Lawn Memorial Park, Sacramento. Such a sad story.
