I love to go to cemeteries and walk among the headstones and wonder about the ones who lie beneath the sod. I am currently photographing cemetery headstones and putting them online. I like to travel when time and money permits. I like "digging" up info to fill in a blank space of an ancestor whether mine or someone else's. .|
My daughter Lorelei helps too. I couldn't do what I do without the help of my family members. They are priceless.
Would love for you to visit and leave flowers at my virtual cemeteries..especially the one for Mervil Lee Short in Restland Memorial Park Cemetery in Bishop, Nueces Co., Tx A Marine Veteran who served in the Vietnam War - his memorial number is 25736908
My research of my family includes Swearingen, Westfall,Short, Brinkley, Crawford, Lynch, Ross, Andress, Brown, Glasco, Defore/Defoor, Donaho, Isaacs/Isaacks and many others.
I also try to research on my granddaughter's side of her father's family. Locklear, Cochran, Richardson, Williams, Horton, Weems and Wolfe
If you have a correction for me to make PLEASE leave the memorial number for the person.
You are welcome to copy any headstone photos I have placed on any memorial. I do not believe in a "copyright" on headstone photos as they are accessible to the public in most any cemetery. I would appreciate being notified you have done so.

Hi Wanda and Thank you for your work. I wanted to correct the above grave stone.
George Newton Timmons
born in Ater Texas in Coryell County. It is only a community at the present with a cemetery.
Father listed as G. N. Simmons - It should be Timmons.
If I can assist with Timmons information, please feel free to emal me.

Hi Wanda, I had been searching for my grandmothers grave site on Find a Grave but was unable to find anything. By accident I found it this morning. The first name is spelled incorrectly. Her name was DELIA instead of DELLA. Thank you so much for the pages you have made for my parents and grandparents.

Your very welcome.
|Syble Cline Glasscock||RE: Jack Cline|
Thanks, but I'm not sure I'm related to him, so maybe best not to transfer it.
|Syble Cline Glasscock||Memorial# 84980448 Jack O. Cline|
Are you possibly related to him, if so I would certainly like to hear from you. I believe he is the grandson of Daniel W. Cline born abt 1853 NC and died abt 1938 in OK or possibly TX, who is my great uncle.
Thanks so much for all you do on Find A Grave and for your submission of this memorial.

Thank you so much, Wanda.

Would it be possible to give me control of the memorial for Charles Edward Bates (# 7257388)? He is my uncle. That way I can link him to other family & also update his info. I know that you got his current info from his death certificate but some of the info is wrong (like my grandma's maiden name, etc.). Uncle Chuck disappeared from the family about 1966/67 so I know the info on the death certificate was given by his widow -- who none of us ever met or knew anything about. Thank you for putting his name onto the Find-A-Grave "roster." Anyway, any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for messaging me back. Both Elizabeth and Herbert Garrison are my grandmother's (on my maternal side of mothers) mom and dad. The had 4 daughters Pauline my grandmother, Gladys, Janelle. Catherine. Thanks for taking the pic of the headstone. I'm doing a family tree. You had ask me if you would like to transfer there memorial to me. I'm new to this find a grave so what all does that entail. I live here in Galveston Texas. One day I would like to visit their grave but I'm not able to right now.
Once a Thanks for taking the pic.

It looks like William was born October 1873 in Alabama according to 1900 census records. Various census records seem to indicate Alabama. His family lived in DeKalb, AL in 1860, although I don't find any confirmation that this is the birth location. They lived in Hamilton Co. TN in 1880, which was his father's birthplace. I didn't find an 1870 record. I have submitted a couple of edits to reflect this, and his middle name.
William and Susan Ann (Susie) Smith were married in Comanche County, TX, January 8, 1895.
