RE: McFaddens at Union Cemetery
Cindy would you scan the McFaddens at Union ARP Church Cemetery. If you see any that you know about could you link them to their parents. Edward and Elijah and Isaac are CSA soldiers who are on the Confederate Monument. I am not sure who their parents are. I am not related to the McFaddens but my grandchildren are. They are a well known family in Chester County. Thanks for your help.

McFaddens at Union Cemetery.
I saw where you posted flowers on memorials at Union ARP Church cemetery in Richburg, S.C.. Would you link the McFaddens to each other. I understand that Robert Martin McFadden had a brother who was in CSA Co A 17th regiment. Do you know anything about who he was. There are 4 McFaddens listed in Roll of the Dead who were from Chester County but not listed as Co A. Thanks for your help.

RE: Katie McFadden Ross
I saw on the Find-A-Grave record for Katie McFadden Ross you mentioned her as a Great-Great Aunt. She was my great-aunt. She passed away before I was born, but my mother was very fond of her and spoke of her often. I am curious about how you and I are related. I had sent you some updated information on my grandmother, Ida Ross McFadden. Were you aware that Katie was the sister of Ida's husband, John Melvin McFadden AND Katie's husband, Ernest Lee Ross was Ida's brother.

Ida E McFadden Ross in Secrest Cemetery Monroe NC
Cindy: Ida Estelle McFadden Ross is my grandmother. Her DOB is 25 March 1894 and her DOD is 05 Feb 1954.

Her husband, John Melvin (J.M.) McFadden's DOB is 10 July 1890 and DOD is 20 Jan 1943 (from his death certificate). His grave-marker says 20 Jan 1942.

Daughter: Rebecca Louise McFadden Snyder: DOB 21 August 1916, DOD 24 Nov 1986.

Your information on her brothers is correct. Gilbert's middle name was Love. Arlis's middle name was Lee and his nickname was Johnnie.

I have photos of their stones and markers which I will post at a later date.

Thank you,

Kaye S Evans

RE: Jake N. McCray Memorial
I thought it was appropriate to transfer his memorial to you. I apologize for not asking you first and am glad you are happy about it.

I've reconnected to doing my family-tree and was wondering if your through the Massey or Griggs family tree. I guess your one generation after mine. Can I ask which family line you are with? My email is or you can send a message though find-a-grave but it's public domain, my Find A Grave acct 48495239. I'm always excited to hear about the family. Thanks.

RE: doris yow
Dad said the cemetery is in the woods in Mechanicville, Darlington sc. He did not even know about it until one day they were logging and my granddad (elvin older in years and all ready retired at the time. About 1 prior to his death) kept walking out in the woods during lunch. So one dad dad followed him and that is when my granddad told all his other children. Elvis wife Rosa Rhetta and Doris were friends. Dad said every winter they always took wood to Mr and Mrs Webb and kept them supplied. Dad always wandered why until he found he had an older sister that died as a baby. But he can not remember the name. I will look and see if I have it someplace.

God bless you. I remember Uncle J. C. and Aunt Mary well. And all the girls--I last saw them at uncle J. C.'s funeral.
