Genealogy is one of my passions. I have been helped by countless volunteers and am always looking for ways to repay that generosity. Findagrave is a perfect outlet for that. Thank you, to all my fellow F.A.G. contributors, for making this site what it is :) |
This is my volunteer profile. The majority of the memorials that I manage through the profile you are reading right now, are not my family. If you are related to anyone among my managed memorials, and wish to manage the memorial yourself, please send me a SAC request (last option listed) or post a message to this page, and I will most likely transfer. For my own family, I have created a seperate profile (Bartran-Lee Family, #48769236) for the sole purpose of managing the memorials of my direct ancestors.
I live within walking distance from Bellerive Cemetery (fka Hiram Cemetery), and walking up and down the rows is where most of my memorials and photographs come from. Most of the grave markers in Bellerive are flat, so it's great exercise to search for someone's marker, which allows my genealogy obsession to have multiple benefits.
I want every memorial I have added to contain the most complete and accurate information available. I also strive to protect the privacy of the living. If there is not a death date apparent on a grave marker, and the individual would be younger than 110 years, I will NOT add a memorial for that person, unless I am able to locate an obituary or other documented proof that the person is deceased. Bellerive Cemetery does have a number of pre-need markers placed. If a marker contains at least one person's information with a death date, I will add a memorial for only the deceased. I will not edit the photograph to remove any living person's information.
Have fun, and be safe out there!

For documenting my father's grave and accurate information.
My grandfather bought 12 grave sites in Hiram Cemetery in the 1930's. I think he paid $30 per plot. He and my father are both buried there. William Thomas Bowcott (dad) and William Lllewellyn Bowcott (grandfather).

Because she was in the mausoleum at Oak Grove, I would suspect she is in the mausoleum at Bellerive - assuming they have one.

Honestly there may not be one. She came out of the Mas at Oak Grove
Thank you for your time and effort to fill my photo request. Have a Wonderful Day

Vera and her husband were taken out of Oak Grove Cemetery and move the Bellerive over a year ago.
This was because the original owner of Oak Grove was not taking care of the place and the family moved them out.

I like the way you labeled the photos to show the area of the unmarked graves. Efforts like yours help make Find a Grave a more meaningful site. Thanks and keep up the good work.
Oak Grove Cemetery fell into disrepair and many families moved their loved ones to other cemeteries. I think she is one that was moved. I will atempt to double-check and add that to the memorial.
