I live in Chicago, Illinois and am working on records for my father's and mother's families primarily. |
I enjoy taking photographs of grave sites for photo requests. I try to add helpful captions for locating the graves. My priorities are sites with a location provided then by request date. Many places have requests that are several years old. You are welcome to use any of the photos I post as you wish. Requests for photo files or transfers are welcome. Email email@example.com or use the edit tab on a memorial.
Please provide a location in the cemetery for your photo request. Contacting the cemetery is usually successful at obtaining a location. Info about the presence of a grave marker may also be available and is helpful. Locating unmarked graves can be very difficult.
If you want a photo of mine removed from your memorial, or have higher quality photos than the ones I posted, please feel free to post them, then let me know, and I will remove mine.

Hmmmm, her death records states she was buried at Graceland, but apparently that's not so. The on-line Graceland records do not have her either (I just checked). If I move her out of Graceland I have to make her an unknown burial, and the minute someone finds her death record, they will put her right back in there. I think I'll add your note to her page. Hopefully someone will figure out where she really is and then perhaps I can work out with them how to merge the information. Any other ideas?
Thank you for trying, Catherine
Sue Chatfield is not buried in Graceland Cemetery. I contacted the cemetery. They reported: "Sue B "Susie" Martens Chatfield b. 1874, d. Apr. 7, 1939. Many Chatfields in Graceland but ....? Married to William Nash Chatfield d. Jul. 22, 1916 who is buried in Skokie Memorial Park Cem. was cremated on 4/8/1939 and the ashes were then delivered on 4/10/1939 to William H. Scott (Undertaker) per George Kluzak. Sorry, no final placement of her ashes is available from them.

Much thanks for your extra efforts of photographing my gg-grandmother's tombstone. I had recently discovered her grave after many years of searching. Your photo especially motivates me to visit Chicago and view the family graves myself. All the best!

Thank you so much for taking the time to locate and photograph the grave marker.
Thank you so much for your efforts in photographing Frederick's final resting place.

Thanks I didn't do that. I think there was a duplicate at one point and it was merged and my information was overwritten. I would have added the full dates from my photos when I set up the memorial and when I do a cenotaph memorial it's always in caps when I state that it is a cenotaph. I have removed the information and added the full dates in. Thanks for the heads up.
