Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been doing genealogy as a hobby for over 25 years and am gradually adding members of my family and others to Find A Grave, and/or adding personal photos from my collection and details to memorials which you wonderful volunteers have already added. I have Swedish ancestry and enjoy doing Swedish research in my spare time.

Besides my family and its connections in the USA and Sweden, my other areas of interest are historical, war and military graves in Europe. The purpose of my contributions to the Find A Grave website is to respectfully honor and help preserve the memories of those who have gone before us.

Please use the edit tab on each memorial page for suggestions, corrections or additions.

My grave photos are free to anyone for non-profit use, and it would be much appreciated if you gave credit to Find A Grave.

Thanks to everyone for your contributions and for so promptly filling requests! I will upgrade all memorials where photo requests of mine are fulfilled.

Hi Bob
My name is Patrick and I have found information dating back 5 generations partly because of your research. I was wondering if there was any way I could get in contact with you to find out how you came about this information. I am a Hultman related to Martin Ludwig Hultman all the way down the chain to my grandfather Robert Hultman. Most of my family are in the East cemetery in Manchester, CT. I have a Hultman family bible in my possession with many of the same photos you posted along with many others. If you could contact me it would be greatly appreciated as I'm very interested in learning more.

So happy to see your photos of this the Hanover Military Cemetery. I have a project to document the graves of all Royal Canadian Corps of Signals war dead and there are three applicable stones you've photographed. Hi Bob,
I would just like to thank you for posting the picture of my great-grandfather's gravestone. All my family knew was that during the war he was in Germany, but nobody knew exactly when he died or where he was burried. Thanks to your contribution, now we do!
Thank you again.

Kind regards,

I would like to thank you for the great photo of Charlotte's headstone.

My wife has never visited her mother's grave and I am surprising her for her 40th birthday this year with a visit to the grave.

Once again. Many thanks

Thank you for your picture and memorial of my brother. My parents have never seen the actual headstone as we moved to Soest after then on to the UK. This gives them the opportunity to see how well maintained the gravestone is should they not get the chance to visit in future.

RE: Violet Fernie grave in Hannover
Dear Bob
We can not thankyou enough for placing Violets headstone on Find A Grave, my mum and sister were thrilled, Violet was mums mother in-law, my sister and I were her only Grandchildren. My Dad was Peter John Fernie and a WO2 in the Royal Signals sadly he died a few years ago, Violet join us in Celle when Dad was doing his last two years, he did 25 years all in all. We alway wanted to get back to see her grave but it was not to be. I will put a photo of Violet up next.

Once again thankyou so much, it is another piece to add to the family history I am doing.

Take care Sue

Walter M. Berg
Hi BobB: I am Walter's granddaughter, Carol Berg Stanley. I am wondering if you are mainly researching the Erickson line? That is Walter's wife, Alice. I have a copy of her lineage via the organizers of the reunions in CT. Are you that person? I am particularly interested in when the Bergs and the Blombergs came to the US. I have found some listings on ship's records, but no information about where in Sweden they were from. I would love to find out the ship, for sure, and where in Sweden they were born, etc. My email is Thanks. Hope to hear from you soon.
