Some time ago while looking for members of our alumni association I "Googled" the name of a member with whom we had lost touch. Someone had posted a memorial on Find A Grave for her. That is how we learned she had passed away. I bookmarked the site thinking some day I would see what it is all about. I did not give it another thought until a week or so after my mother passed away on May 22, 2011 I noticed the site in my favorites I decided to check out Find A Grave. I found a memorial to my mother was already posted, I joined Find A Grave and requested mom's memorial be transferred to my account, the person who created the memorial was kind enough to grant that request. |
Interested in family names, Stone, Baldwin, Alsop, Davis, Berry, Weed, Jones, Haws, Rossmiller and Pendergraft. Others may pop up from time to time as our family tree grows.
We welcome any corrections or additions to the information on the memorials. In order to assist others who are doing genealogy searches we will try to link family members when ever possible.
Please refer to Frequently Asked Questions regarding corrections or Transfers if you wish to have a memorial transferred to you. Will not transfer on email request.

|Karen Call||Isaac Newton Haws|
Isaac Newton Hawes is my great-grandfather and his son, Isaac newton Hawes is my grandfather. I have done a lot of research on this family. I greatly appreciate the work you are doing as a volunteer with FindAGrave. There are some errors with both my grandfather and great grandfather and I can add pictures. I would appreciate being able to manage the sites for this family. Again thank you for all that you contribute.
|DEWITT STONE||James A. Stone #67976920|
Do you have any information regarding his parents or siblings? My great great grandfather George Stone (grave 51800467) was probably a son of Micajah Stone, and George and James may have been brothers.
Sir, this is my original tombstone photo that you have copied and put info on. Please give credit to the original owner.

Hi-I wonder if you would mind to transfer this to me? His wife, Synthia Maupin was my gg-grandmother's sister. I have spent years tracing this family. I do have Presley's Civil War papers. I am wondering if there are any of his Johnson relatives buried in that cemetery? Thanks! Robert Maupin Hall

Thanks for that info. Do you know if her name was actually George Ann? The stone says George Ann & the marriage record says Miss George Ann Garrett. I've noticed that George Ann was apparently a popular name for girls in that area. If you'd like a copy of the marriage record to put with your family history I'd be glad to send you a copy.
I left information on his grave site. Please connect him up with his first wife. He was a widower when he married his second wife.
