I began tracing the SWEANY genealogy when I was 18 years old at the request of my grandfather, Clark Deputy SWEANY. It is a true passion of mine. It is the legacy I'll leave to my SWEANY family. Major family names: SWEANY (and spelling variations thereof), DEPUTY, RUDDICK, LEWIS, ARBUCKLE, BARNES, HUGHES and MONROE. Member: National Genealogical Society, Indiana Genealogical Society, Indiana County History Preservation Society, Riley County Kansas Genealogical Society. |
I've always enjoyed cemeteries. My little Maltese, Cody, and I frequent not only Tennessee cemeteries where we live but southern Indiana cemeteries also as my family currently lives there/all my family lines are from there and we visit at least once a month. If I can help with any pictures, please do a photo request and ask that it be assigned to me-that way I'll receive an email and won't miss your request.
From fellow Find-A-Gravers, Corey & Douglas Marshall-Steele, who were so kind as to take a photo for me, I use the message from their profile: "I am always happy to transfer memorials to the family to which they belong. The Golden Rule trumps the guidelines, and hoarding is just stingy and small." That pretty much says it all.
I wish you success in your searches and if I can help in any way, just ask!

I finally made the relationship connection to you, cousin!
We are 8th cousins 2x removed thru John Townsend I of Accomack Co., VA - following the Deputy line to you.
I would like to send you our relationship chart to your email address posted here if that is ok?
I will have my private email address there so we can correspond if you like!

Hello, Ed was my great-grandfather through my grandmother's side of the family. Although I was only six years old when he died, I have many fond memories of him and his farm and would like to have his memorial page transferred to me so that I may maintain it.
Martha is my husband's maternal grandmother. For some reason, her second husband has been added twice. Will you please remove one to prevent confusion
Thanks, Bev W.

Any chance you would transfer the Staples in this cemetery to me? I am also getting ready to photograph it as soon as the weather warms up. I noticed your comment on your profile about "hoarding", and that is so true.

# 58552553, double check your birth date on this lady - both her death certificate and the headstone say June 28, 1870. I have a rather long obit for her is you want it.
|Landon Tanner||One more time!|
No, It's Elisha T Butler 1826-1910. LOL
|Landon Tanner||Sarah J Butler|
Correction: The Sarah J Butler who married Michael Franklin Danner died before 1883. Sarah J Butler 1850-1883 of Elisha M Butler 1826-1910.
|Landon Tanner||Sarah Jane Butler|
RoxAnne, the Sarah Jane Butler 1857-1901 Find A Grave 39382978 linked to Michael Franklin Danner is a daughter of Beder M Sr. Butler 1810-1870. Michael married a different Sarah J Butler 1850-1897, daughter of Elisha T Butler 1826-1910. These two different Sarah J's were 1st cousins.
|Landon Tanner||Sarah Jane Butler|
On Find A Grave 39382978 for Sarah Jane Butler who married 1768 to Michael Franklin Danner, it says she also married John Anthony Sweany. This can't be true because she's with Danner in 1880, and Sweany also has wife Sarah J in 1880. Also, Sweany's wife born 1757 is not old enough to have married Danner in 1768. Sarah Jane Butler had to be older than the Sarah J who married Sweany. This big "booboo" seems to have originated on Ancestry Family Trees. One thing is for sure...IT JUST DOESN'T JIVE!!!
