When I read the cemetery there was a chain link fence separating the two cemeteries and they each had there own sign. I was recently told that fence is no longer there. Which makes it very confusing.

Related to the Ballew Side
David, I am related to the Ballew side. I would give anything if I could go back further. You've done a lot of work. Thanks for what you have done. Bennie Verner Ballew Sr. was my grandfather. He passed when I was 12 so I don't remember a lot. We've found a lot on my dad's side which goes back to Sir Thomas Wyatt the poet. He's my 13th great grandfather. We've traced my paternal grandparents side too. Now I'm trying to do the same with my mom's side & it's proving a bit harder. At least with all your hard work you've given me a start & it's very accurate. Thank you again for all you've done.

Thank you so much for responding so quickly. The Ed
Hopkins that I am trying to find is Black. I have searched high and low for Edward and Caroline in 1870 and 1880 to no avail. I was hoping to find Spot Hopkins at a young age, I can not even find him in 1900. Thanks again I appreciate your help.

Edward Hopkins

David and Barbara thank you for all of your hard work. I am researching Edward(ED)Hopkins dob: 1846
or about in SC married to Caroline Lightner, Spot Hopkins would have been one of his children.
What can you tell me about the informant of Ed's information? Thank you Pat Crawford Mesa, AZ.

Thomas R. Wright
Hey David & Barbara, I'm trying to find any information on Thomas R. Wright memorial #45385866. I see lots of updated info. since the last time I checked "Find a grave" website. I noticed you had put a "Rest in Peace" tag on this page in 2014 so I'm wondering if you knew him or his family. I've gotten all the info. listed and will try to follow the trail from there... but so many have passed away. If you knew him or know of any living relatives and would be comfortable in helping me find out who they may be... it would be most appreciated. Thanks! Angie Kirk

Bessie Ransom Manley 48826027
Hello, I was wondering if you might know who Bessie Ransom's parents might be? I'm wondering if she might be Odessa Ransom from Hall Co., GA, born the same year, and could she have been called Desser? If it is, I have some pictures of her and Jim that I would love for you to have.
Thanks, Karen Ransom

Eleanor Morrison Lawson
RE: Hi Eleanor,
I live in a small town called Whitmire. If you made a triangle with Laurens, Union and Newberry, I would be in the center. I was born and spent my early years in Henderson Co, NC and then Laurens, SC. My mom and dad between them were related in some way to most of the early Henderson Co families. I have had quite a time trying to get a smidgeon of their families on Ancestry and Family Tree Maker for my descendants to have when I am no longer around. I started this journey in the 1980's. We possibly do have common relatives. Some of mine were even in Newberry Co. The Justus, Clelands, Thomas and others. The Lawsons and Cudds are my husbands and largely SC and some NC. I want to tell you again that I so much appreciate what you do to help others. I am 87 and have my feet on the proverbial banana peel.
Good luck with your work and God bless you.

Thank you both for all you do to help others through Find A Grave. You make it possible for the ones of us who, because of age and health, can no long visit cemeteries, to see the graves of our extended families. Were it not for people like you, I could not find the graves of all my extended family. I have been on my genealogy journey since the 1980's and am trying so very hard to get as much as I can on Ancestry and Family Tree Maker so that my descendants and others who are connected can see their heritage. I hope you do not mind my making copies of your photos of my extended family for my family files. I appreciate so much all you do for others. May God bless you both in your work, helping those of us who need your help. Thank you for taking care of the memorials that you do. That means a lot to those who you touch through this.

Thank you for your reply. I want to thank you for all the work you and Barbara have done to connect this family. It means so much to me since my great grandmother was a Renner in Greene County.
