|I have explored the history of my family for more than thirty years. I am fortunate that my grandparents saved pictures, shared many stories and had an appreciation for the past. Credit also goes to Great Aunt Lucile for getting me started on serious research. It is a treasure hunt that never ends!|
I will be happy to transfer family members to you, if they are not a family member of mine.
April, 2012-- I have completed the addition to Find A Grave, all graves not already listed for Rice Cemetery, Dade County, Missouri, based on the roster from 1974. I have added some that were overlooked in the roster, or were buried later. I tried to find information about every person, and hope I have made a meaningful tribute to each of them.
Winter, 2012-- Cousin Roberta McReynolds and I have completed the addition to Find A Grave, all graves not already listed for Long Cemetery, Dade County, Missouri. Roberta also searched Missouri Death Certificates to document burials without gravestones. We believe we have photographed and added all stones with names on them to Find A Grave memorials.
Fall, 2014-- Roberta and I have completed grave photographs for Shiloh Cemetery, Dade County, MO.

Good luck on your application, I hope everything goes well in the approval process.
When you get time, would you email me at email@example.com...I would like a copy of your original letter written by John Wilson, husband of Jane G Hays Wilson, dated September 21, 1868, if you don't mind. This might help to prove the connection between Nathaniel and his parents.
Thank you very much,

Thank you so much for the quick reply. You have given me some ideas that I need to look at. I also contacted The Hermitage staff last year & was sent The First Hermitage Restortation papers. I also wondered what DLC,2 stood for.
I found my 3rd great grandfather's (N.W. Hays) obit, which reads "Departed this life at his residence known as the “old Betsy Walker farm” in Bradley County, Tenn., on the evening of Dec. 27, 1879, N.W. Hays at the age of 77 years.
The deceased was born in 1803 at the Hermitage in Davidson County, Tenn., and removed with his father from thence to Humphreys County, Tenn., thence to the Gillispie old fields in Rhea County, and then to Washington city and was married to Elizabeth Henegar, of Green county, then moved to the Scruggs farm, Monroe county, thence to Bradley county where he has lived since"... it was published 1 Jan 1880 in the Weekly Herald, Cleveland, TN.
After I found his obit, I contacted the Hermitage and asked for help, thats when they told me about the research done by Robbie Jones.
You have helped very much. Appreciate it.

Memorial 67540831 for Jane Hays Wilson states her parents were Nathaniel Hays & Elizabeth Gillespie. I was wondering if you have proof of this. I am researching Jane's brother Nathaniel, and trying to prove who is parents were. I need this for D.A.R. proof of lineage.
Also, you state Nathaniel & Elizabeth were married in Greene Co, TN. Were you able to find their marriage record? I have search but no luck yet.
Thank you for any help.
