Hi, there are several Brohards buried in the Bridgeport, WV cemetery. I have taken a few of them but I may be the bearer of bad news however you may be able to help. You have asked for 3 young Brohard pictures. I have noticed they all died in the same year at very young ages. There was a cholera outbreak in this area around that time and many young folks passed away. Do you know if this is the case? If so they may actually be buried in a mass grave. Or in an area of the old graveyard where the headstones are missing. However I found the markers of a Mary and John Brohard from that time period that may be relatives... I will post their pictures if there is a memorial and if not i will make them one so you can view them.
Thanks so much for the picture of Othmar Kipfer's grave. He was my grandfather and I've been trying to locate information on him for quite awhile now.

Thanks for the reply David..I've been away and just am now getting back to the computer.
He is suppose to be buried next to Jessie Graham ..his daughter.
I realize how bad those old cemeteries can get. I walked around in one in Edgefield SC looking for graves and I had a heat stroke and was nearly hospitalized...and never found what I was looking for. If you ever happen to run up on the grave I would appreciate any photo. There is some guy in Calera who runs the historical society...he claims to know a lot about Salem Cemetery.

Thanks again David for the contact. I am happy to know that the cemetery is so close to you and that you didn't have to travel far.
I don't know if this will help but here is the grave plot listing I found for him on a gen website.
Plot: Plot: C~1401 Don't know it that will help.
Also..is there a New Salem Cemetery there?? Thought I saw that mentioned before..but not sure.
I can understand why I am having problems with finding Graves in the Selma area..due to all the flooding over the years. My great great gradfather was Clerk of the Court, Justice of the Peace and a Lawyer in Selma from 1957 until his death in 1889. This would be Issac's older brother. Surely there would have been a fairly large funeral for the only Clerk of the County Court Selma had for 30 years...but I can't find it after two trips so far.
Thanks again..you are are so nice for having done this.
Thank you for the photo of this tombstone. All your hard work is greatly appreciated!!! Thank you!

I agree with you Mr. Brohard. And since his was indeed the original, one would think that more details would have been included (I had sent him a note suggesting that he at least include her maiden name of Young, and the town where she was born). I looked up several articles on her this morning, and some of them said she was born in Bunn, North Carolina (Franklin County). Anyway, thank you again sir, for your time.
