I enjoy taking stone photos for the older souls. I also try to find some history about the person as time permits. I have learned much about the history and early settlers of my community.|
I have also photographed stones for older souls while travelling.
I use many secondary sources for my research on this site. I provide sources in the note section of the memorial, and encourage verification using primary sources. I also use a tombstone birth date calculator whenever a stone inscription has an age at death.
Feel free to use my photos and biographies, but please reference the site. Corrections, requests for transfer and discussion are welcome!
Please let me know if I have established any memorials, or taken photos of your family members that you do not want on the site, and I will most certainly remove them.

|HWA||Re: [Send Reply] George Lufbery Memorial #72996356|
Hi Tina. Yes, the source which gave his place of death as Elizabeth, NJ, is the same source where I found the photo I put on the memorial. It is his obituary in "India Rubber World", Volumes 59-60, p. 153, edited by John Robertson Dunlap, Henry Clemens. There is another, much briefer obituary for him in the "India Rubber Review" of December 15, 1918, p. 786, which also lists the place of death as Elizabeth, NJ. Both of these volumes are free Google books online and are not under copyright. You can access the second at the following link: https://books.google.com/books?id=cZw7AQAAMAAJ&pg=PA786&lpg=PA786&dq=george+f+lufbury+jr+the+well-known+manufacturer&source=bl&ots=MqSXuHK3_F&sig=nnVv1xNs8LAUQhMXcByPEZwvgc4&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwji-LTx38jUAhXDOT4KHdIsAXAQ6AEIKjAC#v=onepage&q=george%20f%20lufbury%20jr%20the%20well-known%20manufacturer&f=false

There is no documentary evidence to speak of, just what the surviving children said. You probably know how that is back before 1850. Just forget I suggested adding that information. Thanks anyway. I appreciate your work.

Hi Tina..Thank you for checking the above memorial for a headstone. Sorry there wasn't one and hope it was not a wasted day for you. I contacted the manager of the memorial and requested that he put a note on her memorial so no other requests will be posted. Thank you Sincerely, Wendy

Hi Tina, You are very welcome. Let me know if I have any others that you are connected to.
|Debbie 💜||RE: Joseph Brey|
Perhaps the ancestry family tree that I received the info from was incorrect. Thanks for changing the memorial.
re: Joseph Brey
About a year ago you submitted changes to this memorial (#52,131,241) which I accepted. I have done research on Joseph and I disagree with your submission. Your suggestion was that Joseph was born in Springwater, Livingston, N.Y. I believe it more likely he was born in Richmond, Ontario, N.Y. His father appearing in the 1820 Census in Ontario County. The suggestion was also made that he died in Hebron, Porter County, IN. He in fact died in Jasper County, IN. He is listed in the Porter County Death index as dying in Jasper County (Indiana Genweb for Porter County.). He was living in Wheatfield, Jasper County, IN. in his last census record.
I just wanted to let you know I have changed the memorial based upon additional information.
