Bio and Links
Bio Photo My name is Michel Beckers and I live in Montfort, a small village in the South of The Netherlands.
I have been doing research regarding Aircrashes near my village in WWII for about 23 years.
I try to honor the men who sacrificed their lives for our freedom. My research has resulted in creating my own website.

Thomas Charles Wharfe
TC Wharfe was my mothers uncle. Her father
was Harold Albert Wharfe who served in the Bermondsey Battalion in WW1 and died of cancer in 1944.
I am aware that Thomas deserted the RGA in 1912 and went to New Zealand. Then joined the NZ RA at the declaration of WW1.Joining the RAF at the end of WW1. His son dies in a Halifax accident which you have described. Apparently his nickname according to my mother was Laddie.
Thomas was married to a lady who was of Irish decent and the last my mother knew he had settled in Ireland.
If you can provide any further information or links I would be grateful.

SSGT Henry Clifton Mathis, Jr
You have added a photo of S/SGT Henry Clifton Mathis, Jr to the memorial of
Henry Clifton Mathis, Jr
Find A Grave Memorial# 76664234
buried in
Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.
This is a duplicate memorial that is in the incorrect cemetery. Could You please remove the photo and add to the correct cemetery ? Please?
S/Sgt Mathis and his family lived in Vincent Al. and not Ragland and his entire family is buried in the Cemetery where I have My memorials added. There are no Mathis 's burried in the Macedonia , Ragland Cemetery
Below is the correct memorial. Thanks so very much.

No relation. Just putting on some memorials. I got his information from this link.

Don't think this is the same person as you mention. Maybe his father?

RE: grave pic.
Hello Michel,
You need to be a little more specific. Asking for: P/o Crush, Sgt. Hall, Sgt. Norman and Sgt. Thompson... I have multiple veterans and not sure which ones you mean. Please enter the memorial #.

Hi Michel

Thank you so much for doing such a wonderful memorial for the aircrew of Wellington Z1592 18 OTU. You really did an amazing job with it. As a Canadian I am so grateful to you and others who do so much to help make sure our heroes are remembered. Thanks again.

Take care,
