Bio and Links
Bio Photo No, we're not twins -- we're not even sisters. Heck, we're not even related .... or are we? As you well know if you deal with genealogy, we're all related. But with any relationship, if you have nothing in common -- failure!! So, as if we didn't have enough in common, we decided to help out as much as possible in getting photos of gravestones to their loved ones.

We are full-time RVers (retirees) living in Brenda, Arizona during the winter. It's in the darn desert and there's not a lot to do. We could only hope; we're busy all the time! Mostly, we're busy driving, with the nearest big town being 30 miles away.

Some of the things we do together are: sing, dance, work on genealogy, travel for genealogy, spend all our money on lunch when we travel for cemetery photos, spend our time in mindless chit-chat, and are a general menace to our husbands and others. Oh, yes, and we love, love, love to play Mexican Train!!!

Well, that's about all we can think of at the moment. We'll let you know if we think of anything else to add to our bio.

Oh, by the way, Connie's the pretty one ... that's her on the left ... Elaine's on the right.

Hugs to all! Connie & Elaine

Well I am a native in Arizona an have no idea where the heck Brenda, AZ is. lol But I really would like to meet you when you come to AZ. I was born and raised in Winslow but live in Maricopa
now. A harmless old lady, if any of us are really harmless. I am from Joseph Englsh Sr. and his daugher Mary who marrried Giles Knight. She had a brother name Henry too memtioned on a land sale. They came on the Society with him. I do not own Joseph Sr. but will try and get the # and of course Mary's for you. The father married three times in later life. He seemed to be a slow starter. Just about the age we start trying to get rid of them. lol Oh, Joseph Jr., his mothers name was Mary Chapman. They were married in a MM in Britol. That was in his record at Byberry MM in Phidelphia. All his children were with her.
I will leave my number on the edit section. Hope to hear from you this winter.

Dave West
RE: Rachel Ladosky Jones West
Hi Connie,

Just saw our post.

Your line through Edward Rutledge West is a sideline of my West family line. I just happened to be on it and added or corrected some info. I am researching all the related West lines as I get to them; as I am over 8,000 just on the West line so far.

My lineage is up the tree a bit.
E.R. West [1850-1933] has GGG-GF John West (Sr)[1705-1766], son of Joseph P. West [~1662-1731]; and it is from that line I descend.

So we are very distant cousins.

Arthur Lee Johnston and also his wife Vaunetta (Duggan) Johnston
Hello Connie,
I have been to the Cedarvale cemetery and the Resthaven Memorial park many times but never at the same time and I'm positive I have Arthur Johnston and his wife in the right cemetery. They evidently ended up being buried in Resthaven Memorial park since there is definitly a stone provided for them at that location.

Take care

Charles Cole/Willa Cole
Connie thank you so much!!! I did have Willa linked to the wrong Charles Cole. I have corrected the Memorial and added a picture of their marker. I appreciate you pointing it out to me. I'm sorry for the mistake!

RE: Cable/Bunting
Connie -

A great story and I'm sure your up coming book will be interesting. Love your story about Grandma's gift. I inherited my paternal Grandma's gift also - the gift of gab!

My Find A Grave sites, I may not have the thousands like some members do; however, I try to document as much as I can. It is so annoying when a Find A Grave member post, I do not do obituaries, or will not transfer a family member. I just do not get it!

Well, the Cables in Tennessee inter-married many times within many families in the area and populated the area greatly in the 1800's. I'm related to everyone in that area. There is the Julius Dugger Cemetery in Dry Hill, Johnson County, TN, that my maternal grandmother and great-grandparents and other gr-gr-gr-gr grands are buried. Julius Dugger is one of my DAR Revolutionary Patriots in which he served for the state of North Carolina. His tombstone, in the Julius Dugger Cemetery, list Captain, but the DAR has him listed as a Private.

Great chatting with you and good luck with your book.

Regards, Pat

Thank you Connie for helping to correct this situation. I have corrected the mother. Dancing with Ghosts - has created so much information on the memorials that it is difficult to understand with all of the common names.

If you take a peek at #35507169, you will note that I added information to Casper Cable, Sr. from the "History of Johnson County 1986" book.

Are you related to the folks in that area?

I have also sent a message to Bill Culver & Dancing with Ghosts, that Casper, Jr is buried at Casper Cemetery, the farm,, but the headstone was moved to the John Cable Cemetery. Not sure why that happened, but it did.

Regards, Pat

Enos Herman Todd
Would you please have a look at Enos Herman Todd's page #33650714? Some how he has himself turning up as his own spouse twice, but when you go to his spouse Amelia Mariah Boone Todd's page, #33650678, it looks ok. Thanks!

Nothing new on this end, except I have a new computer - one of those laptops and it's like starting all over again. I'll get used to it. Have to. How are things on your end?

Gust Pundy

Hi Connie,

I went to the Rush River Cemetery and I went into
the office to ask if Gust Pundy is buried in that cemetery. They went through their books and he isn't buried there. I looked in Ancestry for Gust and it said he died in Anoka Co. Minnesota. Have you checked with the state of Minnesota and see if there is a death record for him?
