Bio and Links
Bio Photo I'm a fairly recent enthusiast of cemetery photography. I suspect becoming a site contributor and photo volunteer was inevitable.

I live in the Cumberland Mountains of Tennessee. My involvement in the Society for Creative Anachronism (the "SCA") means that I travel to other states - notably Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, and Mississippi.

When possible, I now "fit in" cemetery photography sessions while away from home.

Most of the memorials I have made are for people I am not related to. They've come about from picture-taking adventures and subsequently learning that no memorial existed. When appropriate, I add photographs to existing memorials.

A good number of the memorials I manage but did not make are my family. Some were created before I came along and were kindly transferred to me by other contributors who are not related to them. Others originated from the U.S. Veterans Affairs Office and were transferred to me by Find A Grave Administration.

A couple of memorials I now manage are of non-relatives for whom I suggested rather extensive editing based on information I had gathered ... and the non-relative originator chose to transfer management to me.

If you find that one of your relatives has a memorial made by me, I'll be happy to transfer management - WITHIN the 4-generation direct relationship guidelines as given in the Find A Grave FAQ. --->> Please do specify your exact relationship in the SAC! <<---

FAQ #162 states that the 4-generation direct relationships are as follow: "This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren."

Kindly DO NOT copy my photographs for use on other websites. Yes, I ***REALLY*** DO mean: DON'T post photographs that I have taken to or to any other site.

RE: addendum
I truly do not know much on her. I only know what I have added. It looks like someone photographed the plot for you.

RE: C.Powell Abbott 130150779
Of the 113 photo request for West View Cemetery in Augusta, GA is yours for C Powell Abbott.
Jimmy Morris is the contributor and when I pointed out to him that he entered the name incorrectly he transferred the memorial to me.
The last name is not Abbott it is Powell.
For a better understanding look at memorial number 130150779.There is a memorial for Powell C Abbott as well as a photo of his marker in this cemetery.

RE: Cut-and-paste obituaries as edits
Straight from

"Can I add a memorial from a newspaper obituary or other 3rd party source?

Find A Grave does not discourage the legitimate indexing of the deceased through obituaries or other 3rd party accounts. Newspapers represent a very good source of information as a public record. We ask that those who index and memorialize the deceased from newspapers and other 3rd party accounts do so with full respect of copyright, refrain from adding information about living people, and respond generously to the family of the deceased. Find A Grave takes no position on the appropriate timing of submitting such indexes."

I went further to contract them directly to ask if living relatives CAN be included in the submitted obituaries, just as they are listed, as mentioned above "refrain from adding information about living people". I asked them if that means that the living relatives names should NOT be mentioned in the obituaries, here is their response ~

"Thank you for contacting Find A Grave in regards to information on memorials.

As stated in the FAQ's, the names of living survivors will be removed from the biography section of a memorial UPON REQUEST BY FAMILY when included in the obituary.

If you need additional assistance, please feel free to reply to this message.

So, therefore, my understanding is that including the unedited obituaries are fine. Including as much information as possible, is not only making a wonderful memorial to the deceased but it also helps their grandchildren and other relatives learn about their own family/families when if in the future they want to know about their ancestors.

RE: Lola Tiner
Thanks for your answer. I will always keep them if I find no closer family.

RE: Lola Tiner
She is a distant relative. These photos were in my Great grandmother's trunk. Did she not have children? I would love to give these photos to someone.

Jordan Grave site
Yes, that is the one. I remember visiting that little plot of ground almost 50 years ago...when Rocky Creek was a two-lane road.

I read your note about the cemetery. Unionville and Moseley is now on the site. I am from Macon and have family buried in both cemeteries but here is the history.

Both are on the same grounds but two different cemeteries. The side closer to pio nono from the tree in the middle up is owned by Unionville church, the back closer to madden ave & the lane is Mosely Cemetery,

Hope this Help!

Hello, you have created a file for my father's grave. I would like to obtain management of it. Could you please tell me how it's done?
