Marie,

Thank you very much for fulfilling my photo request at Oak Ridge Cemetery for the five graves that are related to my Coggins family research.

I really appreciate your efforts on my behalf.

Sincerely,

Marie, thanks for the update. If I didn't tell you before Jim and I were in the same Navy Squadron and went to Vietnam in 1966.

RE: Amy Catherine Lynn Thornton
Amy Catherine "Kate" Lynn Thornton died when the family was living in Madison, FL. My mother said there was a tree at her gravesite. I know that there is no record of her being buried there because of a fire that burned them all. I do have pictures of her. She died when my mother was 12 years old. All of her children went there and tried to find it but could not. Her son Archie is still alive, the only one left. Wish I knew. RE: Turner Success!
It is very possible that Churchwell Crowell is buried there. There are a number of graves in the general area that are just marked with a rock or a foot stone type marker with no writing on them. I also noticed there are a number of foot markers that, over time, seem to a bit out of place, perhaps moved a little here and little there over time -- or just missing. For example, while the spire lists four people (Crowell / Turner) I did not find a foot marker for all four people.

Anyway... perhaps you can help me! My 2nd Great Grandmother was Sara Crowell 1863-1945, who married Jessie Yancey 1858-1943. I have not been able to determine her parents and backwards. I suspect she has a potential connection to the Mary Turner Crowell buried here.

Any help?

Success!
Never mind I figured it out!

As a note, Mary M Crowell has a 4-sided spire headstone and she is identified as MOTHER (I was mistaken about her being a grand-daughter).

On the other three sides are list the following people:

Grandmother K Crowell
Grandmother L Turner
Grandfather M Turner

Have a good day!
