Though not nearly as driven as many to seek out history and genealogy, I still love visiting cemeteries, both physical and virtual.

Findagrave is one of the best resources on the web, if not for research, to remind us of our mortality. I'm thankful that it's here and that it has allowed me and others to pay our respects to all those who have left their indelible mark in our hearts.

It truly humbles me to have all those who visit my mom's (and other relatives) leave notes or let me know they stopped by. I know for some, it's a way to reach out and try to show they care, but no matter what your motivation, know it's appreciated.

It's an amazing community on Findagrave and a bit of therapy for me. After my mom's passing, it's been a place to find solace and let me know that others are also dealing with the same feelings as myself. It's also so touching to see the little notes or just those 'checking in'... it truly means the world to me.

Peace be with you.

I welcome all who want to leave messages, notes, flowers, etc. for my mom, so thank you from the bottom of my heart. :-) She was never one for the limelight and I know would be flattered.

All the best...

Your Mom
You are so welcome. She was a beautiful lady - both inside and out. I am truly sorry for your loss. I know the pain of loss and even being a
Christian and knowing our loved ones are with the Lord, it still hurts.

My sweet husband passed on 11-22-10. Like with your mom, so many people in his life expressed what a wonderful man he was and what a testimony he had for the Lord.

I added your mon to my bio page so others could see and leave her token/flowers. (if you don't mind - if you do, I can take it off). Others can see and know what a wonderful woman she was.

Take care.
May the Lord bless and keep you and comfort you during this difficult time,

Dear John,

I have nothing to offer you except heartfelt sympathy for the loss of your mother. That day has not arrived for me and I dread it. Throughout my life, my mother has been my champion, my teacher, a shoulder to cry on, a listening ear, my best friend. As hard as I try, I fear I have not been able to fill her shoes.

I will transfer your mother's page to you. You should have it. I took the liberty of cropping one of the photos you added. I will remove it if you prefer. Just let me know.
