Always loved cemeteries & the histories they hold. So glad to have "stumbled" across this site and become a part of the Find A Grave family.Born/raised in Fostoria, Ohio. Both local cemeteries, Fountain & St. Wendelin, are located in Hancock county.QUOTE: Genealogy without verification is only mythology.PATERNAL names: Doll, Koons, Rife, Caris, Hudson, Turner, Long & Nederhouser in Northern OH, PA, MD & W.VA (was part of VA). A token. Are you connected to Al in some way? No problem if this is the case. He was liked by so many people. There are memorial listings for a "Scott" that is troubling and thought this might be in error from you, also.

I'm contacting you because I recently found this note printed in
The Zanesville Signal (Zanesville, Ohio) September 22, 1927
A reunion was held at the home of Mrs. Elizabeth Gruber, Park avenue, Sunday, honoring her brother George C. Koons of Bridgeport, Texas. The guests were Mr. and Mrs. B. O. Brown, son Val of Columbus; Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Koons and daughter Miriam of Roseville; A. S. Koons of Caldwell; Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Stack and children of Barbarton, and Mr. and Mrs. George B. Wolfe and daughter of Akron. Mr. Koons left Monday for his home in Texas after a ten days visit with his sister.
I believe you are related to Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Koons. A. S. Koons was my maternal grandfather & Mrs. Elizabeth Gruber was my G-grandfather's sister. Mrs. George B. Wolfe's mother was a sister to Mrs. Gruber & Mr. George C. Koons. I'm just now fitting Edgar Koons into my tree & will soon start tracing B. O. Brown. Mrs. Gruber's mother was Phebe Ann Brown. Elizabeth Koons first married Alfred Colborn & then John Gruber. George C. Koons'es middle name is Colborn.
If you would like to exchange information I'd be more than happy to!
I want to thank you for visiting my brother's memorial on his (and my) birthday. You are kind and so much appreciated.
