Bio Photo 2017 UPDATE: I have been without Internet for quite some time. I am back now & will be trying to handle all the messages I received in my absence. I appreciate everyone's patience as I dive back in. Having a five year old, I can't commit as much time to this as I used to, but will make every effort to get things updated & keep them as such as long as I have Internet access. I am now in the Nebraska City area if anyone needs assistance around here. Thanks for all the help & information!

BIO: I take pictures of the gravestones for each of the memorials I add. Sometimes, I must simply wait to have internet access before I am able to upload them. If I have added a memorial for which you would like a photo of the gravestone and it has not yet been uploaded, please let me know and I will email it to you directly.
If you see areas of disturbed earth in any of the photos I take, rest assured the graves are not being disturbed. Some graves require a bit of restoration or just plain digging out in order to be able to photograph the gravestone completely. I do this in a way that does not affect the integrity of the marker or grave themselves. If you have any concerns or suggestions, please feel free to contact me.
As I go through my regular cemeteries, I try to see if there are any memorials without pictures of the gravestones. If there are, I typically take pictures & upload them to the memorials myself. Please feel free to remove them if you would prefer not to have a picture of the gravestone shown on your memorial. I mean no offense in doing this. I am simply trying to help anyone who may not have time to go out & take all the pictures.
In addition, as I add my memorials, I try to verify the accuracy of other entries in the same cemeteries to keep with the spirit of providing the most accurate information available on each individual who has been memorialized. If I message you requesting a correction & you don't have time to make the changes, please feel free to transfer the memorial to me & I will add or change the information myself. I view this wonderful website as a beautiful opportunity to assist people in their quest for knowledge of their ancestors & am willing to help anyone in any way I can.

Geneology is like a treasure hunt for people! :)

I am real close friends to the son of John E. Hopkins. As we were going through looking we discovered that you have his mom and dad listed in the wrong cemetery. They are actually interred in the Greenwood cemetery in Lexington, and there is a memorial for them already in the correct cemetery. I was wondering if you would be willing or can delete your memorial since it's showing the wrong place.?.

RE: Bice's
Do you by chance have any pictures scanned of uncle Roger? His sister, (my grandma) Royla Curtice passed away last week and I was looking through pictures and I don't have any more recent ones. The last time he and aunt Bert were down I guess we didn't snap any pictures, if so I have no idea where they are. Anywho if you have a chance and do have pictures i would appreciate seeing some. If not no big deal. :-) my email is

Thank you,

ID Military in Westlawn-Hillcrest
We are currently working to identify anyone buried in Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery Omaha NE that has served in the military. If you have a loved one buried there or know of someone, please send us a message. We place flags on the graves for Memorial Day. This project is sponsored by Centennial Masonic Lodge #326.

If you can send us the names, we will be sure to include them on our list to get a flag.

Thank you for the help with this ongoing project.

If you have already received this message, please accept our apologies for the duplicate message.

Thank you!
The Austin-Wright family is virtually reunited, and because they were so close in life, I feel so much better knowing that they are linked together again. Theirs was a blended family as a result of the untimely death of my great uncle Frank, but they were raised as brothers and sisters, not steps. This means a lot to my family. Thank you.

If you'd like a story book read of midwestern life in the early nineteen hundreds, Roscoe's daughter's obituary is very interesting.

Again, thank you for doing what you do, because it *really *does *matter! :)

Hi. Would you kindly either process these edits that I sent to you a couple of weeks ago, or transfer his management to me? Working hard on reuniting this family. Thanks so much!

Your grandmother, Vera Houchin
Hi Daisy,

I am currently writing a book on the descendants of Jacob Brumbaugh (1734-1816), who came to America in 1754. It is basically a continuation of a book that was written in 1913 by another descendant. Since more than 100 years have passed, I thought it was time for an update!

I've found that your grandmother is a 5th great-granddaughter of Jacob. My husband is a 4th great-grandson. I have been able to garner some information about her siblings, husbands, children, etc from the Find A Grave obituary, but was hoping to fill in more details.
Would you be willing to contact me privately via e-mail so I could fill in some blanks? From my research, I have found Vera's grandmother was Edith May BRUMBAUGH Houchin. My e-mail is Thank you so much, in advance. Carole Saylor
