|My wife got me involved in her genealogy research. We love going out and finding our relatives cemetaries. Well we enjoy going to other cemetaries also. |
Hopefully what we post on line will help others.
Remember the next time you go to the cemetery to visit your relatives, don't just take care of their headstones, help clean off their neighbors too. Karma does go around.

I found this obituary for this lady. You may add too the memorial if you wish. Thank you. Mary
Article appears in The Abingdon Virginian, Abingdon, Virginia, Friday, 15 May 1863 reads...
Died, neat Mr. Airy Depot, Wythe County, Virginia, Mrs. Sarah Jane Snavely, wife if Dr. Aaron Snavely, at her place of residence, on the 29th of April, 1863, after a short but painful illness of Typhoid Fever.
Quick question, I noticed when attaching the memorials listed below to their family profiles in ancestry.com that husband and wife marker names are spelled differently. Would you happen to know why?
Memorial #'s 15339304 (Polly Vaughn Burkett) and 15339249 (George Burkett)
|Alyson||Thomas F Huddle|
I'm working on my family DNA tree and David Huddle and Mary Staley appear to be part of it. I was wondering if you could confirm the death date of Thomas F Huddle. I show him born in 1849 so it's unlikely that he died in 1986. Did you mean 1886?
Thanks so much,

Presently I'm working on a USCT Facebook Page & would like to include your photos. You'd be given FULL credit. Here's the link to the Page:
|Allen Robison||Dr. Robert William Thomas Garner|
Thank you for your suggestion. I was aware of that, but didn't want to pass judgement on him or his wife. There is evidence that he had just been diagnosed with cancer. His wife's cancer had just returned after several years. Maybe he could not deal with either.
|Sue Hale Sheppard||Pearson Copenhaver #15451488 and Frances Copenhaver #15451422|
Thank you for the change of heart to update memorials for Pearson Copenhaver #15451488 and Frances Copenhaver #15451422, if you are the one that did it.
|G-Man||Henry Chapple Hopkins|
You have a photo of Henry's tombstone uploaded to Henry Hopkins (#2944603) - it should be uploaded to Henry Chapple Hopkins (#97370348) - please correct - thanks
