Most of these memorials are based on personal research from my family history (birth, death, marriage, military & other records). Other information was taken from grave markers or obituaries that I've discovered over the years. Cannot guarantee the accuracy of all these memorials, but believe most of them to be correct.
Will be glad to make memorial transfers upon request that is if related. Would very much like to hear from you and should you have any additional information and if there are any corrections to be made, please let me know.

I'll add the pics. As the owner, you should be able to delete it yourself.

I'm transferring this gentleman to you as he appears to be kin. Thanks for all you do. I run across your name many times. Regards, Evan
|Robert Hunt||William Hunt Sr.|
I have been working with a genealogist on my ancestors and here is what she says in an email to me about William Hunt.
She read your story about William.
I read it...and it is attached to him on his personal page. She says he came on the ship "Abraham" but there is no passenger listing for that ship in the year of 1635 when she says he came. So I say...pretty good story there...
Next part of her story...I find rather "funny" and "total telling to me as a Land/Deed researcher" she wrote this.."in 1636 William Hunt patented lands on the western branch of the Nansemond River..."
Well Robert no one "patents land"...this patent is another name for a Deed and it would be State of Virginia to William Hunt...this if she knew what she was talking about when it came to Large Pieces of land would have written the Deed info out this way...YES it does sound neat to say he Patent land but he didn't do it. She does write a good story.
If you notice the Land Patent was dated 1636 when the same "Immigration" record stated he "Came" to the Colonies...So I know he bought the land in England "Somewhere there". These are untraceable because the purchaser's didn't want the crown to know "Where they bought it".
Now I do believe she is also "guessing on his parents". But there seems to be nothing in the form of Christening/Baptism records proving her info here that I could find. I still think the St. Mary's, Lambeth, Surrey, England makes better sense.

I'm so sorry I got the father and the son mixed up it is Thomas Mims Jr. That has two different death places.
|Phyllis Galloway||Thomas Mims Sr|
I am looking at the death and you say that he probably died in NC but in your Birth Death at the top you say Louisiana can you tell me why you have two places. Thanks for the help. Phyllis Galloway

Thanks for your work with this family! Charles Burr Todd wrote a popular work, "A General History of the Burr Family." Mrs. Susan Burr Read Mims, memorial # 131991105 parents were Dr. William Read, and Eunice. Please edit this memorial to include William as her father. Thank you. John
|Maggie||Virginia Holleman Cassidy|
I do not understand why you want date of Virginia's death changed to 1970 when there is a death notice of her death from 1953 which I included on her memorial, there is a Cook County Illinois death record that states death date is 7 Aug 1953. You also want birth year changed to 1926, which is the year her California Marriage says she was born, however she is 3yrs old in the 1920 Census making her born about 1917. In the 1930 Census she is 12yrs old making her born about 1918. The 1940 Census has her 22 yrs old making her born about 1918. Maybe she changed birth year on marriage record so she would not appear so much older than Roy. Please let me know what records you have that state she died in 1970. Thanks, Maggie

I would love to have contacted you some other way. I noticed you had Stephen Horton born in 1809, and Sarah Harper, listed as the parents of Edmond Jackson Horton. If this were true his father would have been 6 years old at the time of his birth. I don't know who his parents really were, but I'm sure this Stephen and Sarah (Harper) Horton were not. I do appreciate all of your work on Find-A-Grave.
