JUST A NOTE: If I missed your or forgot your request please remind me or send another request. Thanks|
I have been doing Genealogy searching for the Schutt, Sodia, Sodja, Stafford, Stulac, Taylor, and Van Orman Surnames. I want to thank all that gave me photo's to upload to this site, My Cousin Brenda, My Brother Darold, my hubby and the list goes on. If there is anything you find wrong PLEASE email me so I can fix the problem, and if you have better photos of a grave Email me. If you want anything added to a bio or ? I will. Just email me. I am willing to look for Headstones in Western Colorado Area.
Due to the fact that our public library has been taken over by homeless people hanging around and in the library and 2 of them fallowed me to my car I will no longer go to the Library or use the Library to help others in research of their family members.
If the Mesa County will fix the problem I will start going there again. So sad I do NOT feel safe at the our Public Library my TAX dallors pay for! and it is now used a Homeless shelter for homeless to get out of the cold and sleep in the chairs. UGH! SORRY!
Please note that "OBITS and ADDRESS DIRECTORYS" can be found at the Mesa County Public Library.
Call them! they will look up the obits for you and the address directorys.

I try real hard to make the headstones I post easy to read. If you want a larger photo or improved let me know. For me it is important to be able to read the information on the stone.

I wanted to thank for the pictures I've found of my ancestor's gravestones in the Sacred Heart Cemetery! When I have looked into this cemetery, I find it is gated and public is not allowed inside. At some point, I would like to drive here and visit this place. How do you get access to go inside? I'd appreciate your insight. Thank you!

Oh my gosh, yes...would love the Holloways transferred!! I recognize every single one of those names, lol. Sorry for the delay in replying; I'm traveling. I'm rounding up several Holloway branches and their descendants. Around the 1800s a lot of our particular line were in Colorado, Kansas and Oklahoma (previously in Iowa, Missouri, and more). Many desecendants headed to Oregon, Idaho, Washington and California. But we're scattered all over. Am slowly rounding up the descendants via Facebook. Many thanks!

Shirley, I saw the entry for William R Nelson in Grand Junction Memorial Gardens. I talked to Mr. Nelson a month ago. His wife Merlene Nelson (whom he shares the stone with) did die but he is still alive. I too thought he was gone by looking at the stone but ended up finding him after the cemetery told me he was not buried there. thanks very much for all your hard work.

No don't transfer the site to me. I am helping someone get into the Daughters of American Revolution since I am the Membership Chairman of the Boise Chapter in Idaho.
Thanks for your help.
|Mary Tapia King||RE: John Holloway|
That would be absolutely wonderful, thank you for offering!
|Dolores J. Rush||Stafford Family|
Hi! I've been studying the Stafford family in central Illinois as the Stafford's were FANS (friends, associates & neighbors) of my 3rd great-grandparents (50298335). Moses Stafford purchased my 3rd great-grandparent's farm when they left for the Kansas Territories in 1855. Stafford Cemetery is where four of their children are buried and my husband and I visited the cemetery in May 2015. I learned this year that grandpa had a baptizing service in the Sharpsburg Primitive Baptist church that Eld. Christopher Stafford organized. Eld Robert Webb of the Primitive Baptist Library in Carthage, IL has been helping me with much of their church history. Have you accessed his information for Stafford history? http://pblib.org/pbl.html Good to know about a Stafford descendant I can pick brains of now! grin!

Ernest and Marth are my husband's great great grandparents. We were in Elmwood cemetery the other day and were trying to find their graves and couldn't find them. Do you know what part of the cemetery they are in. I couldn't find a grave directory to tell us where they are. I hope you can help us. Thank you.
