|My Mother is very much into Genealogy and I enjoy taking photos and playing in my paint-shop. I also enjoy exploring cemeteries and examining older monuments. My mother informed me of this site and asked me to become a contributor. I am more than happy to fulfill photo requests in my area.|
Also Nettlecreek Cemetery is where my grandparents are buried and I have been photographing various headstones. I search for an existing memorial page first, if no result is found I have created one based solely on what is listed on the marker. If this is your family and can provide the bio please feel free to contact me for a transfer.
I would like to round up some local individuals willing to put a little elbow grease into assisting in cleaning up Harbour South Cemetery. It is severely overgrown and it is difficult to navigate but there is still some clear stones back there if you make the climb through the brush. If something is not done it will eventually be lost forever. Honestly I have found a few others here in Champaign County that could use some clean up....
Also Please do not use my images for any publication, or resource guide(Web, written, electronic...)without my written permission.

|Pat Gardner||Noah & Samuel Loudenback|
Noah & Samuel appear on the tombstone with John C. #48323971. I would like to use the death information for my records and in my Family Tree, which is online. I would like your permission to use the tombstone as a reference, but not the picture, merely the information from it.
Thank you for all your hard work in recording in Find-a-Grave all the pictures you can find. Several of my Loudenback relatives are buried in the Harbour South Cemetery and it is such a great feeling to find that record when I am trying to get my records and tree in the best correct shape I can.

I am the Granddaughter of Rhoda Ella Decius and member of our family Matilda Bacome Decious/Decius, 1sr wife of Ammon (my 2 gt. granddfather) is buried there as well Amanda Decius/Decious daughter of John. . You have taken pictures of that wonderful old cemetery (which is desperate for some TLC) If I lived there I would be there in a heartbeat, but it is a little hard to pull weeds there from WA State. Would it be possible for me to use the photo's on my "private Ancestry Tree) and in my Family History book that I am doing on the Decius family. It is also sad to note that Matilda's mother Nancy's gravestone is also in pieces, but in a different.
BTW: are you related to the Daniel Neff family of Virgina. Daniel married Susannah Decius, that Aunt of Ammon. I have not been able to find where they went after leaving Virginia. I think Illonois/Indiana/Ohio area but have not found them.

I photographed this cemetery when I cleaned it up. It was covered in trash and debris. The lady from Goshen took several of the monuments and had her husband restore them and she was going to have them placed back in the cemetery. I photographed what was there at the time. So I didn't miss any, they were not there. I saw a note somewhere where you had a couple of monuments that someone had missed. they were not missed.

Hi Jennifer! I saw that you were photographing Harbour Cemetery, and I am hoping that you have pics for William L and Sarah Harbour McGinnis. William is my gr-grandfather's brother,and I am attempting to find someone in the family tree that has info and family photographs!
Any info you have or any connections that might help would be much appreciated!

Do you think there is any chance this cemetery will ever be "cleaned up"? I requested the stoen of Matilda Bekum Decious.
I am now the Historian of my Church's cemetery which had suffered some neglect since it was read/transcribed in 1974 - We have done a major overhaul including falling 17 large fir trees, new signing. We are now in the process of taking up the grass and reseeding (and looking for buried stones as we do this.) so I know how hard it is to restore one, once nature gets the best of things. I love old cemeteries and wish I could come back and help with this one.

Jennifer, Thank you for trying to find the marker for Christian Stevens. It has probably disintegrated by now if it ever existed. At least now I know. Thanks so much. Bev

No, I have no documents, or proof, that they were originally buried on private property. All I have are photos of their gravemarkers in Rosedale Cemetery. But it wouldn't surprise me if they were moved, I have found many graves moved to larger cemeteries over time. Sorry I could be more help.

Thank you so much for your time and effort. It is frustrating to search and search and not find the markers. I want you to know that your efforts are appreciated and that knowing there are no markers is important to me. Thank you so much for your help. Mary Lavezzari
