Over thirty years ago my father came to me and suggested I document our small family. I will always be grateful to him for getting me started while we still had contacts in Denmark. Uncle Pete - I couldn't have done it without all your translations. At the time all research was done by mail and often required research fees and weeks waiting for a reply. What a welcome change the internet has brought! That "small" family has now grown by leaps and bounds and extends from Amana, Iowa and Beverly, Massachusetts across the pond to Denmark, Ireland and Germany. |
We seem to have reached the "Last Leaf" on this branch of the Beck/Schiff tree but I hope I have dropped a few acorns that will take root and blossom for others.
The memorials I manage are all family, but if you are a close relative with more information to add, I will consider transferring memorials.
Family Lines searched: BECK,CHRISTIANSEN, NORTON, McVANN,SCHIFF, FELS, BRUGIER
Also: BLAKE, HANES/HAINES, CLINESMITH, CROMWELL, KUNEY

Hi: I just posted a photo to Annette Cromwell memorial at Oak Hill Cemetery, Popejoy Iowa.
According to the directory the order of stones is Civilla, Eliza, Nettie and Francis (Frank). There is a small marker in the third spot, but it does read C F C. Otherwise there is nothing else for Nettie.
I hope this is helpful. If you want me to remove the photo I will do so.

To be honest I don't remember if he is related. I do research for dear friends who don't have internet access. I've made it a habit to create memorials for fallen soldiers who have none. I feel they deserve it. Thank you for all you do!!!

Thank you for leading me to the Johnston Cemetery website! If I read that correctly, there must be stones for Milda McKinney Johnston and husband RD Johnston. THe author of the website transcribed them, but did not take a photo. Anyway, I really appreciate the link!

I have been fascinated with Joseph and William since i was a child
My father passed down to me many of William's prints
