Past President of the Mount Vernon Genealogical Society (www.mvgenealogy.org) & author of New Copies of Old Records from Hebron CT, 1708-1875 (Heritage Books, 2011) & various articles on New England genealogy.I have transcribed Litchfield County, CT cemeteries from the Hale Collection because I'm looking for 18th Century collateral ancestors in our Birge, Fox, Hatch, Holcomb, Hindman, Hunt, Noble, Peck, Thompson, Wilcox, & Willson lines. If you are related to other families in these cemeteries, let me know & I will transfer ownership of memorials with your surnames to you so you can add information and links. I have many other Connecticut ancestors in central Connecticut cemeteries, where I will also transfer memorials unrelated to our family.Most of my Connecticut memorials are copied from the Hale Collection, which transcribed all Connecticut tombstones during the Depression. The transcription is not error-free, but Hale was able to read things then which are no longer legible today.The New Hampshire entries are all from Colonial Gravestone Inscriptions in the State of NH, by Mrs. Charles Goss (1942). None are close relations of mine, so if you want to make additions or corrections, please just request a transfer.When contacting me about a specific memorial, PLEASE do so from the Edit:Corrections & Queries tab on the memorial itself. This makes it SO much easier for me to respond quickly & accurately.|

Your memorial # 84271475 is a duplicate of the earlier one added for her #31734529. Wanted you to know so that you could remove yours. Thanks.
Thank you for all your hard work and helping in my ancestry research. If you could transfer the Gibbs graves to me as Iím a direct decendent it would be greatly appreciated. I made request through the edit tab as you suggested.
May God bless you
|Brenda Elliott||William Knowlton 1615-1655|
William Knowlton's wife was Elizabeth Balch, not Elizabeth Welch.
See "Mayflower Families Through 5 Generations" 15:157; Elizabeth Balch married William Knowlton, son of John Knowlton.
Elizabeth's father was immigrant John Balch [See the "Balch Genealogy" in The Essex Antiquarian Vol. VI, No. 1: https://archive.org/stream/essexantiquarianv5v6sale#page/207/mode/1up]
Elizabeth is not named here as his daughter, as only her three brothers are listed.
Elizabeth Balch and William Knowlton were married about 1640 in Ipswich.
|Dina Woodman Reed||Woodman grave|
Please transfer the Woodman grave sites so I can maintain my family sites..I am a direct descendent of Edward and Joanna Woodman
Thank you Dina Woodman Reed
|Dina Woodman Reed||Jane Woodman|
Delete the statement that she was "Probably" the daughter of Edward and Joanna. .you have no proof..they left ENGLAND in 1635 with their two sons Edward Jr and John.....stop making "Probably" statements about family lineage. ..

|James Bianco||Salisbury CT duplicates|
Hello Linda, I contacted you once on this issue and it has become a problem again so I will detail it again. You entered many memorials from a transcript of Town HALL Cemetery Salisbury (now Center Cemetery) in to Town HILL Cemetery, which is a different cemetery miles away from Town HALL aka Center. As Center cemetery is being photographed it becoming an issue as you have the same people incorrectly in another cemetery. This is especially unfortunate for people trying to find their relatives. I will itemize these memorials and contact find a grave to remove/merge those in Town Hill into the correct photographed memorials in Center Cemetery (Town Hall). Thank You, James

Probably is not good enough to list someone as the daughter....this is my Woodman tree. Unless you have proof of a person's parents do not list them as my descendents. Please remove this listing unless you have proof.....
|Alanne Turina||Theodate Bachiler Hussey|
Hi,Linda. My name is Alanne Turina. Stephen Bachiler is my 9-times great grandfather through his daughter Deborah; and I am now looking at his extended family. In looking at the Find A Grave for his daughter Theodata, I see that the notes say she was born 1610 (which info I already had) and died 1646. If I am reading the attached picture of the memorial stone correctly, it appears as if it says she was born in 1598 and died in 1685. Am I "missing" something? Thank you.

Are you sure about this grave belonging to Amelia Spencer Humphrey(s)? Based on research, I believe the Colonel Arnold P. Humphrey's name is spelled without the "s" on the end of "Humphrey."
Plus there's another grave site for Amelia Spencer,(Find A Grave Memorial# 129966802), daughter of Nathanial Spencer (buried in his plot), married to Col. Arnold P. Humphrey (Find A Grave Memorial # 91598469).
There seems to be confusion requiring research to link the correct grave and family together.
