Sharyl you're very welcome. Yes, they are buried at the Allens Hill cemetery. Glad I could help! Cathy

Hi Sharyl,

I wasn't sure if you wanted me to transfer to memorial to you or just approve your edits. I would be happy to do either one which ever your prefer. Please request it as an edit on his actual page, it makes it much easier. You can post any pictures you want now and load up the text and I'll just click approve or you can just have the page. Let me know.

RE: Thank you!
Intresting family. You will have to look at the sister Marion Hall. She married Charles m purdy and had a son. Then she let him and married George Hyatt Robinson who made national news for blowing a huge inheritance. Purdy sued Robinson for the loss of his wife. Marion later sued Robinson too after he left her for another woman. Carrie Hall McElroy died a week after giving birth to to twin girls. I am trying to find them now.

No idea on Evelyn hall or where she is. She is living with the jahnes in 1940 but I can't find her death or burial. So frustrating sometimes. Your memorials and photos helped me out a lot on this one.

Not so dark. Actually rather nice, but with no names. Some of my very distant relatives are buried in a big masoleum in Green Wood, Brooklyn. A cousin went down to photograph it. No names on the outside. But, unbelievably, the door was open. So he went inside and got pix of all the people's names. No such luck with the Akin one.

You might try contacting George Coulter (lives on Coulter Ave in Pawling) who's the head of the cemetery association. He might be able to tell you if she's buried there. Or might not be able to, the old records are a mess I hear. But people have told me he's very nice about trying to find out information about the cemetery

Christina may be buried in the Akin mausoleum. For her that would be good, for you bad, since there's no names on the outside and it's locked up tight. But I'll keep my eyes open.

RE: Alice Smith #90572037
Forgot to mention, there's no plot/section/lot numbers posted at Pawling, so I have no idea where she might be. There may or may not be paper records on her. The record keeping in Pawling going back that far are pretty awful.

I transferred Alice over to you. I'm not related, just was going through the Pawling papers, adding people to the database. I'll nose around and see if I can find any info on the people you mentioned

I've walked the whole cemetery except for the oldest section, which is on my to-do list. I'll let you know if I find a tombstone for her
