Bio and Links
Bio Photo Retiring in 2008 I delved into our family history on, begun in 2001. This led me to Find A Grave - and even more relatives.

I'm a first-generation American who spent much of my first 10 years in Canada. Mum was 100% Irish, a first-generation Canadian born in Montreal, with her parents arriving from the same street, Marlborough Terrace, in Derry City during 1887 and 1905.

Dad was a second generation Canadian born in Scarboro Junction, then outside Toronto. He was 50% Irish, 25% Scottish and 25% English. His maternal line arrived from Co Longford, Ireland (1824), and England (c1830). His paternal line is from Lislea, Co Derry (1847), and Dumfries-shire, Scotland (1844).

I am only managing records that have some connection to our family but if you wish to take over a memorial of your family member, please do not hesitate to contact me through the message board.

Mavety stones
These stones are not in Cataraqui Cemetery, although you've added a photo of its sign. They are across the street, in Cataraqui United Church Cemetery, which is NOT owned by the incorporated Cataraqui Cemetery Company. Its address is 965 Sydenham Road, Kingston -- NOT on Purdys Mill Road.

This is the entry for Annie Mavety Lawrence.
You need to correct the info on Margaret Pope Mavety - she died 15 Jan 1868, not 1888. Her husband Thomas remarried on 16 Dec 1871 at Sydenham to a widow, Elizabeth Johnson Ramsay.
Thomas Mavety is my 2nd great-great-uncle, and I know he was not a bigamist! The stone has weathered a lot since I first saw it, so I can understand that you might have had trouble reading it.

RE: Wrong photo
No, if you read the caption on this photo you will see that it says that.... this is the photo for that plot. There is no photo for Mr. Heggie at this spot even though he is interred there. This is as per the online records and database. I can remove it if you like.

Heggie family in Mtn Vw Vancouver
I took photos this past weekend. I assume that Robert (1996) is Jane's son due to proximity of grave and age of deceased. Tranfered to you as you seem to have the rest of the family.

please fix what you need to.

RE: Athleten Miller Field
Hello Fay
I apologize for such a late reply. I did some checking through my family records and found that Athelene's parents were a James Richmond Miller (1868-1944) and Mary L. Paine (1870-1948). It appears that they are cremated in Miami, FL but I do not know of which cemetery.

I have a family history booklet I would like to send onto you. It appears I have many photographs relating to the Millers also, from Athlene's personal belongings. I will upload those that I can.

RE: Athleten Miller Field
I am not too familiar with the Miller family in regards to their lineage and history. My grandfather, Earle T. Field, Jr. didn't speak of his family history very much. I will do my best to look into my records, as Athlene, my great grandmother, left quite a bit of family memorabilia and photographs.

Athleten Miller Field
I noticed you left a set of flowers on my great grandmother's memorial Athlene Laura Margaret Miller Field. Are we perhaps distant cousins? I'd love to know what family history you have
